Monday, Great Day

This has been just a marvelous day.  Being a Monday, that required laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, then the fun began.  Luke came by to check out our coach.   My friend Connie of 49+ years and her husband Gene, came to visit.  We had a burger cookout with the famous Mike-sells potato chips.  For those who do not know about Mike-sells, it is like eating, magic...so yummy.  I believe they are like Skyline Chili, only in this area.  `We are so lucky!!!  Good family and good friends along with good food.  Who could ask for more.

Sunday, Good Day

This has been a very good day.  Finally got to see Trace.  What a little munchkin...so precious.  The best part, I get to watch him for a whole week, while Taylor, his mom goes back to work.  We went to Charlotte's this afternoon.  Soooooo good seeing her, and the rest of the family, that is except for Molli(granddaughter)...she is sick.  Get better real soon sweetie, can't wait to get together.

Today is Luke's birthday...big 21...went out to dinner to celebrate.  Had a great time.

                                                                This has to be heaven...

Saturday, Rain Day

I think it rained from last night til about 3:00 this afternoon.  I'm thinking because of my new life style, the weather becomes an issue with me.  Can't remember paying attention to it, like I do now.  Hopefully this will end.  Not real fond of it.

Went to see Luke at his work.   Fun, Fun.  And where was my camera again.  Oh me...
Later, went to dinner, not knowing where or what was in the area.  And what did we find...Skyline Chili.  One of our faves.  Is only around southwest Ohio, I think.

Charlotte and her group are on the agenda for tomorrow.  Yahoo...Trace, can't wait to hold you, baby.

Guess I need to say, rain is good.
Life is good...

Friday, Visiting Day

This has been the first day of meeting my family.  We met at a restaurant, and about 2 1/2 hours later, decided it was time to go.  So good seeing everyone.  Tim had to go to time out for using his straw as a bean shooter.  Then Nick, my nephew, got in trouble, shooting back.  Boys will be boys.

Being with my family was my best gift of the day.  I received 2 others after returning to the campground.  Tim, Cleo and I went for a long strowl, and came across 4 deer munching on freshly mowed grass.  Then, as we were walking in a field, looked up in the sky and saw a huge blue and white checked hot air balloon...awesome. Tim said we will, get our fill of these beauties, when we go to New Mexico in October for the International Balloon Fiesta.  Sure can't wait.  We volunteered to work with one of the balloons.  Haven't heard which one yet.  So exciting...

Hopefully meeting with more family tomorrow.  Yahooooooooooo!!!

Life is so good

Thursday, We Are Here

We are here in Lebanon, Ohio.  The campground is spacious, many trees, good size sites, a pool, and a dog walk.  There is also something here, that made me want to leave tonight.  Can you imagine having your visitors, or even you, pay $2.00 per visit per individual?  So, of course, I over react.  I just say, I'm not staying here.  This procedure was on the campground's web page.  It was at the bottom and we never saw it.  Immediately I start researching for another campground.  What did I find?  All three campgrounds close to our family and friends have the same rule.  Nooooooooooo!!!!  After calming down, not being able to change it, here I stay for now.  Am so not happy.  What a rediculous RULE.

I had some events to share with you from our trip, but my mind is still sad from the above situation,  so maybe tomorrow.

I do have some trip pics and campground pics
                                                     A wet  Great Smoky Mountains
                                                                 Cincinnati Skyline
                                                                          Ohio River
Thought this was the Reds Stadium, but think not

Geoff, thought you could use this for tailgating

Wednesday, Travel Day

We traveled alright, over the mountains and thru the woods, well, maybe not thru the woods, but thru the mountains sometimes, all the way to Jacksboro, Tn...a little north of Knoxville.  It took about 6 hours.  We are at the Walmart Campground.  Its very nice here.  Lawn, recently mowed, beautiful song birds singing away, fairly quiet on this side, and the scenic smoky mountains are surrounding us.  It's really awesome. It's like we are sitting in a valley.  Restaurant in front of the parking lot... that we used.  Ok, so it was McDonalds.  It was still very convenient.  And it beats a cold turkey sandwich.  I also did some shopping here.  We went to the Goodwill next to Walmart after dinner to purchase a $1.00 movie, but...was closed.  Guess it wasn't meant to be.  I'll just have to keep Tim occupied by talking.  I have been known to be good at that.  We have about 5 hours remaining on this trip.  More tomorrow.

Good nite

Tuesday, Just A Day

I really don't have any interesting news to report for today.  Cleo had her stitches removed this morning, while Tim was having the coach serviced.  I thought we would be leaving for Ohio after that, but Tim decided to wait til tomorrow to depart.  Cleo and I walked a few laps around the park, until Tim came back with the coach.  He chose another site that was a pull thru and flatter than the previous one.  So now we have a different view.  Interesting.  Not many rvs here.  Tomorrow, one less.

That's about it for now.

Monday, Work Day

This has been a normal Monday, with laundry, cleaning, quick trip to the grocery, gas station, and back again to prepare lunch for Chaz, a friend of Tims.  Forgot to take his pic. So unless something pops up, another day without pictures.  It is a cool and windy day.  Tim has been packing for our trip to Ohio.  I will do my part tonight, then, the rest tomorrow.   We will leave either tomorrow or Wednesday, not quite sure yet.  We will be stopping overnite around Knoxville, Tenn which is about half way to Ohio. We will be staying at Cedarbrook RV Resort in Lebanon, Oh.  Think that is about 30 minutes from most of our family.  That is except my poor dad.  Not really sure for him, maybe 1 hr.  Certainly hope not any more than that.  Just checked...48 minutes/26 miles,  that's better than I thought.  Sorry Pops, I will come to you, okay!!!

Guess that's it for today.  Will edit this if needed.

As always,

Sunday, Rain, Rain, Rain

It has rained all day.  We went to Jacki and Geoff's early afternoon and had a wonderful time.  We had pizza, watched movies and just had fun.  Going to miss those kids.  Not much more for now.  Hopefully tomorrow's blog will be more interesting.

Friday & Saturday Together, Awesome Days

I really don't like combining two days, mainly because of the memory deal.  The deal being, mine isn't very good.  Don't ever want to miss reporting important facts.  But here it goes...

Friday, had lunch with Kathy B, a good friend from school, at Lone Star.  The meal was great and so was the fellowship. Went back to her house and visited some more.  And of course, you know, the memory deal, well...did my camera ever leave the car?  That would be a big fat no!!!  So sorry Kathy, next visit for sure.
Then Jacki and Geoff came over in the evening.  I thought, just for dinner and a little visit.  Was I ever surprised!  Tim and I had the pleasure of celebrating Mother's Day and Father's Day with them.   How wonderful that was.  It sure warms the heart when unexpected kindness comes your way.  Thanks guys, loved every minute of it.  Annnnnd now, with my new camera, no excuses for pics not being on my blog.  Oh, by the way, it's lime green.  Think that was a good guess?  Na, she knows her mama.  So Happy.....
Tim, well he got a remote control car.  Oh, not just any car, but a sunny yellow jeep.  It is so cool.  He was running it all around the driveway.  Fun, fun, and more fun.  Children, you gotta just LOVE UM.    And we sure do.

Now for today...Tim went to the Auto Fair at the speedway.  He picked up some needed tools, like a set of socket wrenches.  Was looking for a tire gauge also, but no luck.  And me, well, I was lucky enough to have lunch with another sweet friend, Irene.  We were also going to take in a movie, but decided to just walk around Birkdale, which is a shopping village, and chit chat.  Much more fun than the movies.  Would not have been able to do that at all. Talk, that is....and we did a lot of that.
Now, back at home, we are sitting out on our patio, Tim with Cleo on his lap, and me writing this.  It's a great evening.

Adding a bit more.  Went over to the dirt track and watched one race.  More fun for tonight.  My pic is a little blurry, but wanted to share our fun with you.

 Life is good
                                                                There's our children
                                                                   Aren't they sweet
                                                                     Love you guys

Hey Tim, bet my jeep is faster than yours
And down the road he goes
Hey Lori, check out her ears
                                                          Cool huh, she loves them
                                                              Irene and me at lunch

Thursday, A Good Day

I hope I can always find something to make each day...a good day.  Today, my hairdresser Paige H, fit me into her busy schedule.  I brought my camera to take of her but,  my jacket covered the camera in the front seat.  I forgot, what can I say.  Another day without pics.  Boo hoo...

Campground is really filling out .  Lots of cool coaches and  cars.  Tomorrow,  I'll see about showing you my faves.  Also Jacki and Geoff are coming over....sure can't wait.

Not much else to say.
Have a great nite.
Life is Soooooo Wonderful

Tim finally soaked Cleo's bandage off.

Wednesday, Good News Day

Today, we received the best news.  Tim had a stress test, and wow, no problems.  He has a slow pulse, so the tech who gave him an echo cardiogram, said he would not wear his heart out any time soon.  More good news.

We have had a rainy day today.  A lot of traffic coming into the park for the weekend car show.  Tim is loving it.

That's it for now. Hopefully more good news for tomorrow.

Life is REALLY GREAT...
Nite all!!!

Tuesday, Just A Day

Today has been a...nothing happening day.  One load of laundry, trip to Walmart-twice, worked in a brain training book that stimulate your grey cells, sounds heavy doesn't it, and a little walking was about all I accomplished.  Dinner is over, and its only 6:30.  Maybe we will get another walk in later.  Looking over at Tim in his recliner with eyes closed and making a snoring sound, I might be walking alone.

I have no pics for today.  Checked back thru my pics and came up with zip...

So I will close this writing...

I love every minute of every day!!!
Life is soooo good.
Good nite...

Monday, Work Day

Good morning to you, my family and friends.  I know this is supposed to be work day, and it is, but I received this pic of Trace last night and just had to share it first.  Actually it was work for me to figure out how to post it from an email.  After winning that monumental task, I was afraid I would lose it...so here he is,
JUST PRECIOUS, DON'T YOU THINK

Trace Taylor Stebelton
44 days old

Now for yesterday and today...
We started Sunday, casually, trying to recover from Saturday.  As the day progressed, Tim got itchy to install the tv in the living room.  He and Geoff removed the analog tv a couple weeks ago.
This was really too major for Tim to tackle alone.  Well, he did have me, for what thats worth...I would say, a little.  So, after measuring, and figuring out his idea of how to get the job done, we headed for Lowe's.  That took two trips to Lowe's.  We started this, over our head job, and it did quickly became, over our head.  But we perservered and acomplished some, then his friend Jeff  C. came to visit.  Wow, was I ever glad to see him.  Some two and a half hours later, a completed projected.   Friends, what would we do without them.

Now, it's today, a normal Monday morning work day...laundry, cleaning, also cleaning the mess from the tv project, window washing, and small jobs outside Tim is doing.  I can still hear the dragsters.  It was all over yesterday, maybe some are staying around for practice.  I can say yahoo
to that.  If they are still here this afternoon, guess where I will be.  You got it...right there watching.  Can never get too much.
It's 11:00 am and I'm ending this writing for now.  Will add more later, if needed.
