Good morning everyone, great news!  Tim is better.  Not there yet, but better.  Whoever thought someone peeing would bring such joy.  Sure does.  He goes back to the dr on Monday and is hoping to get the cath removed.  I just don't want it to be too soon.

I am trying to remember events of this past week...maybe I need more coffee.  Jacki and Maggie came by which is always wonderful.  Leigh B, a co-worker with Tim at US AIR, has come twice.  She and her husband came one evening and brought Tim a Ponytail Bonsai tree.  That was so awesome.  Hope we can keep it alive.  Leigh returned a couple days later to visit again and bring a card signed by his wonderful group of US AIR FRIENDS.  We have camper friends here that dropped by checking on Tim.  He also receives phone calls and emails sending loving thoughts and prayers.  Sending back many thanks for all y'alls kindness and love. 

As you might guess our lives have been consumed by working on Tim's recovery.  Let me share one example with y'all...Tim woke me up at 11:45 last night wanting to call the dr and ask him the procedure for removing his cath.  I had to say no, that was not going to happen.  So he asked me to look up on my IPad how to do it.  I did, but could not find the answer.  He then asked if I would talk to him until he fell asleep.  Now it's after midnight by now, and no I didn't want to talk.  I asked if I could just read to him.  Yes of course was his answer.  So I reached over to the shelf and picked up my devotional book, Jesus Calling by Sarah Young.  It is sooooo wonderful.  If you need a new devotional book I recommend this one.  It also makes a great gift.  I read Friday's to him and since it was past midnight, Saturday's as well.  And yep, before I finished he was out, sleeping like a baby.

Before I continue, I have to share what happened this morning.  I tell Tim that rest is a great healer.  So after breakfast he usually goes back to bed.  Today being no different, off to bed he went after an early breakfast because we were up early.  This was a perfect time for me to write my blog.  I think better with no distractions.  Even though it had taken awhile, I was on a roll.  Had 5 or 6 maybe more, paragraphs going before stopping. Was throwing in some humor as it popped into my little brain.  Writing does not flow easily for me.  But this morning, the words were coming.   I was working on my IPad.  I use the laptop only to retrieve my pictures.  The laptop stays in the office in the bedroom and Tim was sleeping there.  Not wanting to wake the sleeping baby, I stopped writing my blog.  Was going to finish and post a few pics after Tim got up.  Something happened to my work and only the first two paragraphs were saved.  I know I clicked the save button before closing my IPad.  And do yall know how hard it is to recreate.  For me, it's already out of my head.  I had not even read it all once to make corrections or additions.  So this is all you get for now.  So sorry.
 Brain dead. 

Tim and I want to send out many thanks for all y'alls thoughts and prayers. We greatly need them and appreciate them.

Friday, Latest Update

This will be a brief note sharing Tim's condition.  Today has not been a great day for him.  Not as good as the last few.  I think Tim's new pj bottoms were too tight around his middle.  The waistband kind of laid on the incisions...one going across and one vertical.  It also pressed against his supra pubic cath.  Tim has been very uncomfortable today.  On Wednesday though was a very good day, so to speak.  We took three walks, sat outside twice and he was still able to visit with camp neighbors, the Kings, and other work campers Tom W. and even Pat.  She returned back from a visiting her mom in Penn.  Tim is trying to nap now.  Hope he manages to get an hour or so in.
Tim is still not able to potty( pee).  Not sure of the outcome for that.  He goes back to the dr on Tuesday.  Time will tell.  Please continue to pray for him.

PS...I had a great luncheon on Tuesday with two of my dear teacher friends, Lynn B and Kathy B.  It just warms my heart to get to be with them.  Thanks so much guys!





Tuesday, Update

I wanted to send out an update on Tim.  Looking for the positive, pain level has dropped from time to time.  Yesterday was a better day.  He walked outside about 15 to 20 minutes, very slowly.  That was good.  Rested in the afternoon.  That was good.  Jacki and Geoff came over, we all sat out enjoying the lake and each other.  That was very good.   Probably the best day so far.  This morning has started off ruff. Tim is back in bed sleeping, but I think this helps the healing.  I was hoping for another yesterday.   It is still early...10ish.  Dr appointment tomorrow.  I think the first set of staples will be removed.  Please keep praying him.
Prayers can be answered so quickly, Tim just got up with a smile and feeling better.  Thank you Jesus.  Nurse Donna is back on duty.

Tuesday, Quiet Day

Hello, wow, two days in a row.  Although today, I have nothing much to share.  Tim is just ok.  Still has some pain.  As he should, unfortunately.  My day was uneventful.  Did a load of laundry, tidied up, and walked Cleo a few trips around the park.  Mostly I played on my IPad.  Jacki introduced me to the game Candy Crush.  Oh man, I sure do love it.  I am on level 25.  So that was my entertainment for the day.  I needed to be handy for Tim.  Thank goodness for that excuse.  We will get out tomorrow for a dr visit.

Had a great conversation with my baby brother, Danny this afternoon.  Love it when we can chat.  Yesterday, Tim and I tried to FaceTime Tina cause he wanted to see her remodeling update.  But that was a negative.  I was sending but not receiving.  Bummer.  We will try again another time soon.  Last week we were able to have a great FaceTime chat with Molli and Gus.

Well the president is speaking, guess I need to listen to him.

Monday, Catch -up Time Again

Good day to y'all.  I am going to use this afternoon to try and share the month of September happenings.  I will pull up my pics and post one and explain it.  Hopefully I can keep up afterwards. 

Went to Carolina Raptor Center with my neighbor Pat.  Had a really good time.  My camera has a slow speed so this pics are of poor quality.  Most of the birds in cages so that makes it equally hard to get good shots.  Some I just took photos of their photos.

Derek came to Carolina Raptor Center from Center for Birds of Prey in Charleston, SC in 1998.  Named after a very special boy, Derek H. who loved raptors and visited the center frequently.

Savannah also came in 1998 from the same center as Derek. She soon paired herself with Derek.  Her First eggs hatched in 2006.

Charlotte came down on Tuesday for Tim's surgery.  Since the surgery was delayed until Friday, she and I took a kayaking trip around Lake Norman on Wednesday.  She had to return home Thursday morning.  We had fun during her short trip.

It was Charlotte's first kayaking.  She did a really good job.

Wednesday night at O'Charley's was free pie night.  So Tim and I shared our pies. Mine was pecan and Tim's apple.  They both were soooo yummy.
Charlotte and I sat up talking till midnight.  Little sleep was had by us.  We headed for the Charlotte airport at 4:00 am. Charlotte's flight left at 6:00.  Little sleep is really hard on an old chick like me.  I did it again on Friday night.  I am still playing catch up for some energy.  Mine has gone south!!!!

                          That should pretty much do it.

Sunday, Special Day

This day 33 years ago, God blessed us with a miracle...a beautiful baby girl.  My life changed forever.  A dream I thought would never happen.  Today we had the pleasure of spending the afternoon and evening with Jacki and Geoff.  A wonderful day it was.   Jacki, you said you check my blog daily, so baby, this is for you!  Love you forever.

An update on Tim.  For those who don't know, Tim had a planned surgery on Friday.  The surgery was scheduled for Wednesday.  A family emergency by the doctor, pushed it to Friday.  He is doing ok.  Some discomfort, but ok.    And as with his other surgeries, there is a story behind this one.  I'm sure he will be sharing it.

We are still at Lake Norman RV Resort.  We be here for another month or so.  Then heading to Daytona Beach for the month of November.  We will travel to Foley Alabama to the Gulf Shores.  The Gulf Shores is Tim's favorite place to go.  Me, I haven't seen all the places out there to have a favorite yet.  I do love Gulf Shores.  But there is a huge world out there.  I have not found my favorite place.  Too many places  I haven't  seen .  So my favorite is still comimg.

My blog looks different.  Don't want to lose what I have.  This has happened before.  It looks messy.  I will just hope this works.
