What a surprise today brought. We had sunshine some of the day. Sure did make me happy. During our 2 and a half mile walk, because of Mr. Sun, I actually jogged as much as I walked. Fun, fun, and more fun. After lunch, Tim and I spent the rest of the afternoon just hanging out, outside. Soakin up the rays.

Tuesday, Super Sticky
I don't want to always be negative about the weather, but really after 20 days, there has been 2 sunny days. It stinks. Guess I am thankful for those. We had two missions on the books for today. One was to research tire prices and the other was to check out rv parks in the area. We were successful with both. We returned home around five and it was as though it was morning. The soupy, foggy air was so thick, the gulf was invisible. Exactly the same as when we left. YUCK...
Life is still GREAT....

Monday, Sweet day
Well, today has been just a great day. No sun, also not much rain, just a gray day. We did get a 4 mile walk in. Looking at weather reports, we will not have sun until Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, all of next week. That is something to look forward to.
The hi-light of my day just happened. Molli and Charlotte facetimed me. It was so much fun. I love the new technology.
Waiting on the race to start. It will surprise me if I make it til the end. That would be unless #24 is close to the front.
Good night to all. Life is sooooo great.

Sunday, Thanks
I think since today being Sunday, it is appropriate to give thanks. We thank each and everyone who has read and commented on our blog. There have been over 1,000 hits today. I really had no idea this would ever happen. I feel blessed that our family and friends care enough to take time out of their busy lives to follow us. I will continue to send tidbits of our days.
If anyone is reading this and the race starts, please join me in cheering on Jeff. Yes, of course it's
Jeff Gordon, #24. Goooooooooo Jeff.........
Again, thanks very much. We love you all!!
Life is great...greater if Jeff wins......

Saturday Outing
Today has been a fun day. Went to a city festival that entertained us with crafts and a car show. I think this was the first car show for Tim since the death of his desire for cars. Maybe I didn't say that right. But he lost interest in every aspect of cars, from working on his own, to building them, to attending a show, big or small. I hope this will be the rebirth of his love of cars.

Friday, Not Much
I really don't have anything exciting or interesting to report. A very cloudy, then rainy, then almost cold day. Tim and I did get our 2 mile walk in. It was actually semi-sunny this morning. But, Mr. Sun did not stay long. I started this morning with a t-shirt on, then changed to a tank top for my walk, back to the t-shirt. Went to check our mailbox, came back freezing. Out come the sweats to walk Cleo. Wow, what a day. Tim even got the heater back out since temp heading down to the low 40's.

Thursday Dog Day
Sorry guys for not posting yesterday. I had my writing ready and as I was inserting a photo, the computer said, bye, bye. I lost it. I lost it all. The blog had been a difficult one to write. Not much to report on. After dinner, Tim tried to list me for my weekend trip to Orlando. And that was a no go. Too much going on in Orlando for me to get a seat. I even tried to fly into Daytona and Tampa. Sadness set in. Had to call Jeannie and break the bad news. For some reason, it just wasn't meant to be. I want to thank Cortney so much for being my backup.
Now for today, even though the sun decided to shine someplace else, our day was a great one. Tim called it, dog day. We traveled to the Orange Beach Unleashed Dog Park. Cleo and Tim went last weekend to this dog park when I was in Ohio. So, Tim decided to go again today. It is all fenced, and the dogs can run free. Cleo loved it. She has had to walk with a leash for the last month.
On our way home, Walmart was calling my name. I don't think we can pass a Walmart without stopping. So we did. Chatted with a fellow there that commented on my Skyline Chili t-shirt. He had been to the restaurant, and agreed the hot dogs were scrumptious. He also shared that we could get the Skyline Chili sauce at Publix down the road. So I said, why not, it's dog day. Best idea I have had in days. I could have placed a sign outside my coach, Skyline Chili dogs for sale. The smell was so overwheming, just like walking into the real deal. Tim and I both ate 2 big fat chili dogs with tons of sauce oozing out and warm melting cheese on top. Can't you just taste it? And now, I am about to pop. I don't think I will eat again for two days. I guess I need to explain Skyline Chili to anyone reading this that is not from the Ohio region. It is a restaurant that specializes in small hot dogs, and spaghetti. They drown everything with their special sauce and warm cheddar cheese. Just to die for.
The rest of the afternoon sailed by. Tim decided to get out some tubs for me to unload. Yuck, not much into that today, but, gotta do it sometime. Then we strolled down to the campground's dock, sat awhile, watching for dolphins. Saw none. But it was very relaxing. I did see 2 pelicans. Did not have my camera. One would think I should know to carry it at all times. Not...
Hope everyone's day was as wonderful as ours. God is so great....Life is soooo great.

Fat Tuesday
This was a fun day. We had some sun. We walked a couple miles. Had a wonderful chat with my sister, Tina. If I'm not mistaken, this was our first communication since I reached Florida. Tina said if I wanted a tan, I needed to expose some skin. So I did. The hi-light of the day was a Fat Tuesday dinner celebration at the club house. We brought a covered dish and shared steamed shrimp and Louisianna crawdads. And yes, I ate a crawdad. And no, it was not good. It was hot as fire. I had to dunk my tongue in my water for five minutes. Well, maybe one minute. Now, I can say, I have eaten a crawdad.

Monday Morning Sun
Good Morning Mister Sunshine, I have been waiting for you for 10 long, dreary days. So good to see you. But of course, being Monday, which brings laundry, cleaning, exercising, and grocery shopping, my time with you has been limited. Hopefully you will come again tomorrow. I promise to spend more time with you.

The Sunshine State?
I have to say it again, no sun. Maybe this is Florida's rainy season. We will have to plan better for our next trip to Florida. That may be January and February, oh, what did I say? Our tenitive schedule was to be in the real Florida Keys in 2014. Like Key West or one of those southern keys. Let's think this over.
We still walked the park again. Same one as yesterday. Only, the path we took was a 3 miler. No sun, maybe a good thing.
I'm heading to Ohio tomorrow, so had to get some shopping in for Tim. No, he is not traveling with me. It is a quick trip, in on Friday night and back Sunday night. When we go up to Ohio in April, we will stay about a month, to get in some good visiting.
Giving Cleo and Tim a little break at the park

SAND GALORE
I knew I would have sand all around, but holy moly, this is horrible. All I have to say is, thank goodness for central vac. I think I have used my wonderful vacuum every day we've been in the beautiful sugar sand area. Tim wanted the beach location, so hopefully this will satisfy his desire.
No sun today, a bit chilly willy, again. We did get a whoppin' 4 miles walk in..2 miles on the beachfront, then another 2 in a park. Yes, five hours later, we still can feel it.
Cleo had a hard night. That means we did also. It was the dreaded "D" word. What a mess! My washing machine has not stopped all day. The last load is drying now at 8:07 pm. Hopefully she is emptied out and tonight will bring on sleep.

Monday News
Today has been a calm day. We walked the beach on the Alabama side. It's still chilly here. No tan yet. Not even pink. I guess I will have days when there isn't anything to share. This was how the day mostly went, until... Wammy...Tim walked in with a dozen beautifully, sweet smelling, yellow roses. Valentine's Day came early. I was so shocked and very pleased. Again, he will be a "keeper," my "keeper."

Another Great Day
It's a cool, beautiful day...the beach is calling me. So off we go around noon, hoping the sun would keep us warm. NOT. But, enjoying the sugar white sand, keeps our minds off the chilly breeze. The gulf waters are awesome blues and greens. The sky matches the beauty of the waters.

Saturday Fun
I have been anticipating this morning for 2 days. Mardi Gras is being celebrated here. I have never experienced a Mardi Gras celebration...wondering about the excitement it might hold. I wonder no more. Fun, fun, and, more fun. My neighbors were in full costume, spreading the joy. There was even a boat parade. The morning has been sunny and windy, with a brutally cold chill factor. And I thought I was in Florida. What a surprise!! Sunny yes, warm no. Not even close. But even the shivery conditions didn't stop the thrill. I think I have lived underground all my life. NOT ANY MORE... As I was standing at the end of the pier, holding on so the wind did not send me in the gulf for a swim, watching the boats, all decorated and the passengers as well, along with throwing beads to us, was just icing on the cake. I felt like a kid viewing her first circus!!
I even saw my first dolphin swimming in the gulf. My camera was too slow to catch him out of the water. I am so hoping I get another chance. I even watched a dad and his sons crabbing with a big cage. Just like the tv show, The Deadliest Catch, except the game was with crabs and not lobsters. When the dad pulled his cage up, to his surprise, it held only one crab. I felt really sorry for him. It didn't bother him. He just tossed the cage back in the water to try again.
I really did see a dolphin

FUN...FUN...FUN

Today's Happenings
Didn't do much exciting today. Laundry, grocery shopping, and a walk in the Alabama Gulf State Park, were the highlights of the day. Tim needed a new pair of shoes for walking, so we drove around the area looking for a store. The drive was very enjoyable. Not much luck for shoes...Then we found a Target Store. Again not much luck... But he settled for a pair.

WE ARE HERE
All I can say is, we finally made it. We made it with no problems. Yay, Yay... We are exhausted. But very happy. We have met some neighbors. They all seem sweet. Lots of dogs, little dogs, buts lots. Most people have at least two. There are 30 sites and I think we landed the last one. I will take pics and show youall our surroundings tomorrow. Nite all. Life is Great...

Suppossed to Leave Day, Again
This is another scheduled day to leave for Florida. And again, we spent last night at the dealership.
Why, you ask? Well, the brand new inverter that had to be installed last week, because the 117 point check, when our coach was purchased, obviously did not happen as promised, was defective. Had they completed the check list before we came to take possession, the original inverter problem would have been discovered. Oh, now they say, "they do not have another inverter." What?, was my answer. This large business only stocks one inverter at a time. I'm not a happy camper. First, we were told, to ship one overnight would cost us $110.00. That was not going to happen. And it didn't. But we are at their mercy. Praying in comes in on their noon parts truck. We may still get out today. Even with mountains and valleys......LIFE is GOOD!!!
They brought the inverter to us right off the truck
Tim is off to the shop as fast as he can go. Completed in 1 hour.
I had lunch with my baby, Jacki, while the work was completed.
Tim is disconnecting battery so he could unlock the steering wheel,
so it would not run battery down.
Final pin in for the hitch
AND AWAY WE GO!!!!!!!!!!!
