Wednesday, Beautiful Day

This has been a wonderful day.  Sunny, hot, a little wind.  Feeling sorry for hurricane Isaac's victims. Went to Jessie's school, helped her with testing.  This is my first time working with beginning first graders.  Loved it, loved the kids also.  Hopefully I can make more time next week to go again.  Jessie's school is about 45 minutes from Tinas.  So on the way back, a Walmart visit was at hand.

Tim and I started our talk about making a few changes on the coach.  The window treatment really needs a makeover.  I had a great idea, instead of covering the wood trim with fabric, which is what I have now, how about leather.  Tim is working with a guy who will be doing the interior of Mike's truck.  So, he asked the fellow if he could cover the wood trim, and the answer was yes.  Now, I have to choose colors.  This will be a project to start next week.  There is talk of removing the dining room table and replacing it with a smaller wood table.  This topic is still be revued.   Maybe we have a little to much time on our hands, or just thinking to much.  It is all in the beginning stages, maybe it will come to be, maybe not.  If it is meant to be, it will.

Jeannie will be here around noon tomorrow.  Yahooooooo.

Looking back in pics, hope I haven't posted this, but its beautiful

Tuesday, Another Tuesday

My oh my, I thought yesterday was Tuesday.  And now I see I that today is Tuesday.  Sure glad I love Tuesdays.  So I'll start this note with the beginning of today, Tuesday.  Up around 5:00 am.  Made coffee, went to feed the horses, back for a couple cups of java, had breakfast, showered, made bed, dressed, went to help Jessie in her classroom, back at Tina's in time to take Julie and Owen to the pool, met Jessie there.  Back around 7:00 pm.  Fixed Tim a light supper, rested a bit, hit the shower, and here I am writing to y'all.  Now Molli, can you see why I haven't kept up with my blog.  Really Molli, I do appreciate you wanting to hear from us. Love you for it.  Just not very note worthy.  But here it is anyway.  Going back to help Jessie tomorrow.  Then on Thursday, my sister Jeannie, from Orlando is flying in for the weekend.  Sure can't wait to see her.  It's been a year, way too long.

We are celebrating Owen's birthday on Monday.  He will be five.  The party will have the Disney Cars theme.  Owen loves trucks and cars.  I got him the monster truck Grave Digger Hot Wheels and then we watched a video of  the Monster Jam on my iPad.  He gets so excited over things.  I love him to death.

Mike will be back on Friday, toting way over 50 pounds of freshly caught silver salmon back home.
Can't wait for grilled salmon dinners.

I'm going to be an aunt again...my little brother Danny's daughter, Danielle is having a sweet baby girl, Claire Marie in December.  Congrats Danielle and Pete.

Jacki is going to Key Largo for her birthday in September.  I need to add...weather permitting.  Nice gift from hubby, Geoff.  Good job Geoff ...

That's about it till tomorrow.  Wishing everyone a wonderful nights rest.  Love y'all.

Tuesday, Catch Up Day

It has been brought to my attention that I am in need of posting a blog, a blog with pics.  Sorry Molli, I haven't been faithful to keeping in touch with you, and all my other family and friends.  So, for my goal the next week, I will send you something.  But you know, I'm very busy here.  I am my sister's shadow, her ranch hand, and actually anything Tina does, I give her my hands to help.  The only time we are apart is bedtime.  She is upstairs, I or I should say we, Tim and I are downstairs.  Speaking of Tim, he has been so understanding in letting me kind of be free to just hang here.  Back to my goal, I will do my very best to write everyday, even though it might be a quicky note.

Hello y'all, I know its been a while, so I will touch on the exciting happenings.  I think I will use my pics for help.......

                                                                  Check out the tires
Also had dinner with Jessie and Kalani

I know I am missing a lot of happenings to share.  As I remember, I will report them.  I am going to help in Jessie's class tomorrow and Wednesday.  Can't wait!!!  Then going to the pool.
Life is greater than great here at the Evans Ranch.
My love to all

Thursday, Beautiful Day

This has  been a wonderful day.  Not really much to report, went into Parker...a town near Tina's, and faxed some insurance papers at their library.  Wow, what a library, huge, well organized, and extremely busy.   Would like to go back with more time to explore.  Then had lunch out.  Next stop was Walmart, then home.  Kids were napping and Tina was watching one of Jessie's dogs Stella, while the other, Rusty was visiting the vet.  The day ended with dinner, a little reading, Vince Flynn, Kill Shot, and a little blogging.  I know it's been a few days, just don't seem to do much to talk about.

Still having an awesome time here with Tina and her family.  Mike is salmon fishing in Alaska this week.  Don't know if I have told you, but Mike is having a 1939 Chevy restored and Tim is sort of overseeing the project.  Just sort of.  It does give Tim something to do most days.  He goes to the shop, observes the progress, and probably talks a lot.  You know how guys are when they start talking about cars and trucks.  It's never ending.  Kind a like getting us girls together, we can sure talk a barrel full.

Just thought of a fun experience I had on Tuesday, went to help Jessie in her classroom.  She has 32 students and no assistant, and teaching first grade.  She looped her last years kindergarten class.  School started here a couple weeks ago.  What a great bunch of kids.  Loved them all.  Can't wait to go back next week.  As I was leaving,  one little fellow said,  bye auntie...so cute.  Sure brought back memories!!!!!

Our plans are still to leave here after Labor Day, heading down toward Albuquerque.  Tim may need to fly back some to keep tabs on Mikes truck.

Hope y'all's lives are as rich and happy as mine.
Life is good

Did make some changes for our travels.  After Albuquerque, we are heading back east to Smmerdale, Al where we stayed in the spring.  Should be there Nov thru Feb.   Then homeward bound to beautiful North Carolina, March 15---October 15, on to Daytona for the winter of 2013.

Saturday, Day of Changes

One never knows from day to day what may come or what may go.   We just made two heavy decisions today.  Thanks to good friends that opened our eyes, shared insight about why we chose a diesel coach instead of a gas coach.  Toying with the idea of getting a new gas coach because of problems with ours.  We also changed travel plans.  After albuquerque, we are heading back east to Alabama where we stayed in the spring.  Tim prefers the east to the west.  Me, i love um both.  Not sure when we are leaving here now.  Maybe I'll get to stay longer.  Give me a big yahoo for that one!!!

Hoping everyone is having a wonderful weekend.  Ours is the best.  A little stressful but great.

Life is good
Miss y'all so much

Thursday, Beautiful Morning

Good morning to all of my wonderful family and friends.  Again just a quicky note to let y'all know we are great here, in this beautiful country of Colorado.  I am having a glorious time, but for Tim, not so much.  He is returning home today with coach problems not resolved.  So we will go to plan B.  No, not sure what that is, but it will be the right path since the previous one did not work.  Guess it was NOT meant to be.  Or, was meant to, not be successful.  I will be glad to have Tim back again. After seven months of 24/7 with him, kinda miss him, but let's not tell him that.

Had dinner with all of Tina and Mike' s family last night.  A wonderful time was had except when Rusty, Jessie' s dog, was running and got a gash on his pad, hitting an artery.  Wow, did it ever bleed...squirting like a water hose.  He is the child, accident prone.  Poor baby, has had soooo many mishaps.  Jessie has learned to handle them well.

That's it for now.  Have a wonderful day.  And remember, even though you don't know what tomorrow holds, you can be sure be of your destination...let God hold your right hand, and He will take you into Glory.

Life is good

Friday Morning News

Good morning to all my wonderful family and friends.  So sorry, again, for the delay in reporting to y'all.  Really just ordinary happenings, not much noteworthy.  Tim has gone to the repair shop and I am keeping Tina company.  I have a great husband of 45 years.  Tim's line, I'm borrowing it.  I really do though.

Tina has a few errands to run, so that will take most of our day.

Tomorrow may bring interesting news, or not.  We will wait and see.

Saw a saying I liked, will share that with you...
Have a nice day, unless you have made other plans.   My nephew Jeff has it in his office.  Jeff, hope you don't mind me borrowing it.

That's it for today.  No pics till Tim comes back with the laptop.

Have a wonderful day!
Life is good.

Tuesday, Tim's Day

This was a day I spent mostly with Tim.  Those have been few and far in between since being here with Tina.  We played Tina's ranch hands today, getting and unloading hay, along with the usual feeding the horses.  I just love it, and am glad to be of help to Tina.  Tim and I had lunch out, ran a couple errands, then I traded Tim for Tina and shopped a little with her.  Still had a few finishing touches to add to her grandchildren's bedrooms. Traded Tina for Tim again, then we spent the evening out.  My nephew Jeff and his wife Katie were here when we returned, and they got to see our coach.  Because we are staying at Tina's and not in the coach, it was not as tidy as I would have liked when showing it to someone.  But all is well.  Just glad they got to see it.

Julie starts preschool tomorrow.  She has her backpack and is ready for school.  She is sooooo cute.  Love her bunches.

And Tim is leaving in the afternoon, heading to Fredrick, Co which is north of Denver, for coach repairs.

Another mishap happened because of us
I was sitting in this swing and it broke
It is now on Tim's honey do list
The other two are already repaired
                                                                            Thanks Tim

Hey Julie, what kind of face are you making

Sunday, Playtime Again

Hello to each of my family, friends, and followers...it's a wonderful day here . It's about 2:30, Julie is napping, Tina is painting the other bedroom, Tim is washing the coach, and I am, you know, writing to y'all.  The weather is sunny, 85, and humidity is only 20%, a beautiful day.  Really not much to report, kinda a ditto of yesterday.  One of the activities going on here is decorating Tina's grandchildren's bedrooms.  Should be completed tomorrow.  Tim and Cleo are leaving on Wednesday to go a little north of Denver to have repairs done on the coach.  It is always something.  I don't get to go...probably can find ways to entertain myself to keep from getting lonely.

No pics for today so far, do have one in mind I'll take when Julie awakens from her nap.

So for now, wherever you are enjoy you day.
MORE to come......
It's coming on Monday

It's Monday, a day of normal chores, running errands, still working on Tina's grandchildren's bedrooms...so much fun.  Gorgeous day today.  Lunch was at a pizza place that sold pizza by the slice.  The plain cheese was one of the best I've had.  Amazing how much fun can be had by just eating pizza.  Maybe it was the company I was with....probably.

Watched Monsters Inc. with Julie tonight.  She and I were bonding.  Love her so much!!!

Saw these antelope on the way home by Tina's house.
                                                       She was racing them...they won

                                                             Better pic of the antelope

Not everyday you get to have lunch with the Blues Bros.

Saturday, Playing Auntie Day

And I do mean playing.  From school, to picnic, to racing, to gardening, feeding horses, taking a walk, watching prairie dogs, looking for frogs...you name it, Julie and I did it.  What fun it was.

Now for yesterday, another day of shopping, shopping for bedding for Julie.  We again, shopped till we, or at least I shopped till I dropped, that would be at 10:00 pm.  For today, Tina is painting Julie's room, with the help of Jessie and Katie, maybe even Kalani, while I entertain Julie, or maybe it is Julie totally knocking my socks off.  She is sooooo unbelievable.  Smart, funny, beautiful, just MAYBE, Julie takes after me.  And that's a hoot ti toot toot. A big fat no.  I just love her to death.

I believe in a previous blog, I shared about the clubhouse/play area Mike's company made for his and Tina's grandchildren.  Hold on to you hats, cause it is now finished.  Again, my pics may not show the awesome details it has, but you will still be amazed.  Here it comes.........

Now, you are about to enter into the clubhouse

Now, check out this ceiling, crazy wow

Will close for now, may come back later

Tuesday, This and That Day

Hey to all you wonderful folks.  Hoping your day has been as great, though uneventful, sorta, as mine.  Little laundry, little cleaning my coach and tidying up my area at Tinas.  I say area but really it's like an apartment...spacious bedroom, bath, walk in closet, then, theater room to my access with pool table and other games, and even a small kitchen. And where does Tim sit most of the time, in his coach. But me, I'm like a little puppy following it's mama around.  So most of my time is with Tina.  I do feed her horses twice a day and sweep the barn.  Just like to help out.

Tina, Julie and I went out to lunch at Qdobas...yummy.  Then did a little shopping.   While out, heavy down pours, again.  Yesterday, monster rains with bigger than pea size ice balls.  Looked more like snow.  Today, just rain. Tim piddled around the grounds.  Mike is installing a play area, think I mentioned that before, well, that was the location Tim thought needed a little tidying up.

Julie is napping, Tina is working on the computer, Tim in the coach, and me, I'm sending an update and  my love to all my family and friends.

No pics today, I"ll have a look to find something interesting...

This is Pepper, great dane that Jessie is fostering
Sooo beautiful, sooo big, 10 months old...just a puppy
Found a home, leaving this weekend, boo hoo, sad times, but happy also

Land formations (interesting mountain shapes), around Castle Rock

Please forgive me if I already posted these
Guess I'll call it a night.
