Sunday, On The Road Again

It's me again, been a while, huh.    I'll be back to blogging daily, hopefully.  Won't have as much to keep me busy.  We  are truckin' down 1-25  about an hour from the Colorado/New Mexico border.  Staying there, Raton Pass, New Mexico.  I hope to post this before arriving, then will post pics of campground.  Only there for one night.  Then heading toward Albuquerque.  Will be pulling into the balloon fiesta park on Wednesday afternoon.  Sure can't wait.  The balloon we will be working with is FLYING PURPLE  PEOPLE EATER.  Sorry if I already told you this, if not, how exciting is that.  It is soooooo funny.  If you are wondering what she might look like, and cannot wait til I post a pic, you can google FPPE hot air balloon and get a sneak peek.  I didn't mean just to use letters, you will need to spell out the entire name.

For the past two months, we have been where, what I can only imagine was a sneak preview of what Heaven  will be  like.  My stay with Tina has had all the love and magic one could dream of.  Yes, I am sad that it has ended, but so very thankful, not only to Tina and Mike, but to the Best husband on earth.  Our two week stay stretched to over two months was allowed to happened because of Tim's desire to make me happy.  And that he did.  I love you, my big boy.

We are driving between what I think are the Spanish Peaks, still in Colorado.  They are so awesome.  I popped a couple pics, so we will see how they turn out.  This is a beautiful drive.  Not a lot of color, but lots of unusual natural beauty.  Great smooth road, I-25.

That's it for now, and if you are reading this and there are no pics, please return later to view them.
Please enjoy, as much as I enjoy sharing this marvelous experience with you.

Tuesday, Stay Home Day

I don't have many days where we don't go somewhere.  Today was one of those days.  The daily chores accomplished, meals taken care of.  Tina fixed a yummy dinner...tilapia, soooo good.  Watched Netflix with my iPad.  That was exciting.  Tina and I watched season 1, well 2 episodes, of Drop Dead Diva.  I watched this season here and it's one of Tina's favorites.  So watching the pilot was fun.  Guess that was the highlight of the day.  No pics for today, it was just one of those days.

That's it for today.  Maybe tomorrow will be most interesting.

Monday, Zoo and Football Day

Hello to each of you.  Hope today has been as fun for you as it has for me.  We went to the zoo with Julie's preschool.  We had a tour guide talk to us and share info about the animals.  So interesting.  Lunch out.  Back home, kids napping, Tina and I watched a movie, Water for Elephants.  Good movie.  Then Tim came home and off we went to run some errands.  Back home in time for some Monday Night Football.  Poor Broncos, but it's just second quarter.  Still time.

That's my day!!!!!

Sunday, A Sad Day

This is one of those days we all wish did not have to happen.  A death in the family.  Death,  it is so hard to deal with.  Even when we know the gates of heaven opened up to welcome its new member  sadness still prevails.  Last night, Jacki's mother in law passed away.  She had been struggling for a while.  Now her battle is over.  So please say a prayer for Jacki and Geoff and his family.

In looking for something happy to share with you, how about this, Panthers won today.  Yeaaaaaa.
Had a fun outing with Tina and Mike.  Then went to dinner at Jim and Nicks BBQ.    Man, was it good.....

Saturday, and Other Days

I can't believe my last blog was Wednesday.   Don't really know about Thursday, guess it was a normal day.  Friday , I do know, I got to babysit, only with Owen and Julie, not babies. They played so well together.  Tina and Mike had a function to attend.  Now, that brings us to today.  Again normal chores, little tv with Tina, then lunch with Jessie and Kalani.  After lunch, Tina and I visited a store that had this and that, new and old.  Its called The Barn and I always go when I'm here, at least once.  Back home after that, little more tv, Tina and Mike were going to a party, but Mike and Tim went to a car show, and a couple other stops.  So Mike chose not to go.  Then it was out to dinner, the four of us.  Steakhouse.....yummy!!!!!!  Finally, I'm writing to you.  As we were leavingya  for dinner, I commented on the beautiful sunset, just love them, when I received a text from Molli that had her sunset.  It was as beautiful as ours, only different.  The colors here were more orange and Ohio was more red and pink, sort of.  That's about for the last three days.  I think our plans tomorrow, are to travel to Bass Pro Shop.  See ya then.

Wednesday, Rain Day

And rain it has.  Most of the day, a steady soft rain.  It was muchly needed.  We were out in it this morning, Owen had a revisit to the dr, Julie had preschool, a library stop,  grocery then home.  That was just about it for the day.  We had chili for dinner, Tina made a pot her way, I made one my way.  We each had our own tonight and tomorrow, switching to the other.  Fun, huh!!!  Forgot to mention the corn muffins, so yummy.

Tim is researching rv stuff on the Internet and I am writing to you.  This has been a quiet, calm day.  And it is just about over.  Just like the rain. The rain did bring cooler weather.  But I think a warm sunshiny day is ahead of us for tomorrow.  Yahoooooooo! Love the sun.

Not much to report for Tuesday, but I do have some pics...and a beautiful sunset from today.

More to come for Monday...

Monday, let's see, what did I do today?  It is now 10:37pm, so what should I note about?  The only pic I have for today was the sunrise.  More beautiful in life than in my photo.  So I'll pass on this one.  Usual  happenings, except for a dr. visit for Owen.  He has a bad cough.  After that, lunch at a park, then home for naps, a little tv for Tina and I... DROP DEAD DIVA finale.  Tina had it taped.  Does anyone know when the new season begins?  Tim worked on the coach all day.  A light dinner for us.  Mike returned home late.  There was truck talk for the next couple hours.  Finally, I am in my bedroom, blogging. This is it for Monday.  Maybe tomorrow will be more interesting.

Sunday, Football Day

Today started as usual, feeding the horses, my coffee, breakfast, chores, then off to Lowes and Home Depot to check out items for the coach. Then it was lunchtime, Sonic was the choice. The burgers are ok, but you can't beat their vanilla coke. Headed home after that for some football. So from one to ten, it was football, on big screen awesome...yes, I know the Panthers lost, and the Broncos won. Yea for them and John Fox.  Tampa Bay is Jeannie's team, so if I had to lose, best to do it to a team with connections. My pics from yesterday hopefully will be retrieved and posted tomorrow, watch for them.

That's about it for today

Saturday, Awesome Day, Birthday Baby

Happy Birthday to my sweet baby girl!!! She and Geoff are snorkeling in Key Largo, celebrating her special day. Hope your trip has been all you thought it would be.

Good morning to all my wonderful family and friends. When I call this an awesome day, it just has to be. At almost 6:00 am, temp 42, sun starting to rise, no wind, just beauty. The sun rising this morning, absolutely gorgeous. With a day beginning like this, it has to be awesome. Am so thankful for small blessings. Camera in bedroom, Tim still sleeping, don't want to wake him, so the beauty stamped in my memory.

Not sure of plans for today. Mike and Tim are going to a rod shop to look at truck parts. Parker city pool is having a swim party for dogs this morning. I think Jessie is taking her babies. So that may be our first stop. There is also a fun day planned for kids at another park. Jason may take Julie and Owen, and then that means Tina and I will venture there as well. Busy day ahead. Fun. Fun. Fun.

Bye for now...more later. Hoping y'alls day will be as wonderful as mine.

Oh my gosh, is all I can say about the dogs in the pool event. It was sooooo much funnnnn. Hundreds of dogs jumping in the deep end of the pool to retrieve balls and toys. Jessie took Stella, Rusty still recooping from paw injury, had to stay home. Stells didn't like the deep end. But played in the shallow part. Lots of vending booths with free stuff. The one that was over the edge...frozen custard-people custard-with dog treats inside and peanut butter drizzled on top from Goodtime, that is a fast food restaurant.

Then on to Spud Fest. It was at a nursery, had kids bouncey castle and a slide. Hot dogs and a potato thinly sliced curled around on a stick deep fried was free for the taking. Julie and Owen had a blast. And for us big folks, thats what its all about.

Again, camera, not available for tonight. I do have some fun photos. So if you are reading this and there are no pics, please check back later, like tomorrow, if its not tomorrow when you are reading this. If it is, try later in the day. I will work on getting them posted in the morning.

We had a yummmmmy dinner...ribs, mashed taters, green beans and corn. Tina is really a good cook. I know I have said that before. But when a meal is delish, just have to give credit.

This has been a very busy, fun day. Wonder what tomorrow may bring?

Don't forget to check back for the pics.

Friday, Wonderful Day

I did not forget about Thursday, just thought you would not want to read about two identical days.   It is about 10:30 am and we will soon be leaving to have lunch with Jeff.  Today feels like an awesome fall day.  Not much sun or wind, but a great day.

I am watching Julie and Owen playing with a balloon.  Simple things can always  be winners.    Almost time to go.  More later....

Lunch with Jeff...Owen and Julie played in the play area.  Fun fun fun.  Made a couple stops before going home.

Great salad for dinner, Tim chose BLT with chips, one of his faves.  Kids went home, Mike came home, Tim's in bed.  And I'm reporting today's events.

Wednesday, Quiet Day

This has been a very uneventful day.  Fed the horses, changed the bed, did some laundry, picked Julie up from preschool, lunch, kids took a nap, did some paperwork, Tina is trying to connect our printer up to the laptop, and here we are...3:07.  Tim and mike went to the truck builder this morning.  A color was finally chosen, and guess what he chose......lime green with gold pearl transparent. No pics yet for today.   Maybe later.   More news later...

I'm back and it's 8:33, dinner is over.  We are down in our room, all is quite upstairs.  The evening has been as peaceful as the early day.  Tim is researching stuff about our new life and I am writing to you.  If that is what you want to call this.  Certainly hope to have more interesting topics to report for tomorrow.  My eyes are getting heavy, so I'm going to leave you till the next time we meet again.

Tuesday, Wonderful and Sad

I first want to say that if you read yesterday's post, please read it again.  Added the finishing touches tonight.  Thanks

Now for today,  it has been an awesome one.  Jeannie made a huge pot of  delish soup.  Minestrone with Italian sausage.  It was her going home gift to us.  And that is the sad part of today.  Jeannie is heading back to Orlando, well is actually there now.  Loved being with her.  After the party yesterday, she wanted to ride atvs, 4 wheelers to some folks.  Now it was dark, and I am turning into a scardy cat, I guess.  Just a little.  Didn't want to go, but rode on the back with Tina.  Because of me, didn't go real fast.  But still had a good time.  Maybe next time I'll be brave.

Tim played mechanic today on Owen's new jeep.  The front wheels bowed out a little, so he had to fix the situation.  After a couple hours, almost good as new.  Tomorrow, Owen can give it a test drive.

Tina and I transferred the horses back to their main field tonight.  They were very feisty.  And you remember about me being a scardy cat, well, I put it on the back burner and led a very large rambunctious horse across the drive.  Doesn't sound major, but thank goodness the distance was short and Shadow didn't trample me.  She was a hand full, but I made it.

While Tim and Mike hung out on the deck, Tina and I chilled out relaxing indoors with the tv.  Not much good on, but made it do.  Before coming in we heard a pack of coyotes howling at the top of the rode by Tina's gate.  Just like in the movies, it gave us an ere feeling.  We have heard them before.  Next time, Tina and I are going to check them out.  Can't see them the house.  Just hear them.

That's about all the happenings for today.  I wonder what tomorrow will bring?????
