Thursday, Beautiful Sunny Day

What a change a day makes.  Our day was full of sunshine and happiness.  Walked with my friend Joei for about an hour.  Did a couple loads of laundry.  Made a trip to Daphne after lunch for dog food and a Walmart stop.  We took a quicky walk down a pier looking over Mobile Bay.  Just an awesome view.  I sure do love this area.  And of course no camera.  Did not know we would be making this stop.  Will I ever learn?  My camera needs to be on my side everywhere I go!

Want to share a new tv show we watched...Betty White's OFF THEIR ROCKER.  You need to have a little age to really appreciate some of the scenes.  It's sort of like candid camera.  Only so so funny.  I was just cackling up.  It's on Tuesday night at 7:00 here.  It does give NCIS competition.  And that was one of my faves.  Guess we will watch one on tv and one on my I Pad the next day.

We are going out with Lori and Don tomorrow.  We will be checking out a couple rv parks, have lunch out and make a visit to Hobby Lobby.  I purchased a small pine tree after Christmas.  Am going to decorate it for each holiday or event of the month.  Will share how cute it is when completed.  I was starting with Valentine's Day and then Mardi Gras.  But there are parades this weekend so maybe I'll do Mardi Gras first.

Tuesday, Unsettling Day

That's right, this day has been a yucky day if judging it by the weather.  I did get in a few laps with Lori.  I sort of was yucky myself.  Guess the yuckiness was catching.  But, our weather has calmed down... still a little rain. I also perked up some.  We did have a break for a few minutes and God did his job.  He gave us an awesome sunset.  Only lasted moments.  Thank goodness Tim saw it coming, so it gave me time to capture it.  Because of the yuckies, I was in most of the day.  The wind rocked our coach and the rain gave it a drenching bath.  Now, peace is upon us.  Hoping my family and friends in NC stay safe.  Watching the weather on TV, it seems to be traveling in their direction.  Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny.  After today, it will be very appreciated. 

Went to Orange Beach on Sunday...Great day.  Monday was ice cream social...that's always fun.  Tuesday, craft day.  Worked on my beaded banner.  Completed one.  Started another, got home , then realized I used wrong beads.  So this morning I removed all 4 rows.  Hopefully I will start it over in the morning. 
 
One more month here in Summerdale AL, then it's off to Brunswick GA for a week. After that a few days are planned to be spent in Charleston SC.  North Carolina will be calling my name any time after March 9.

Saturday, Recupe Day

Tim and I are still trying to get back to normal from our quick trip to Ohio.  And me, I had been at Tina's a few days, Ohio, a few days before heading back to Alabama just to return to Ohio.  Time change can be a killer at times.  After today, think I'm a ok now.  Did very little today.  Same for Tim.  Tomorrow, a bright new beginning.

It was an awesome day today.  Sunny and 75 with little wind and clouds.  Supposed to the same for tomorrow.  Sure hope so.

Friday, Fresh Start

Hey guys, I'm back again.  Thought I would share today and not try playing catch up.  Too much has gone on, I'm letting by gones be by gones.   Now for today, had an awesome walk with my friends Lori and Joei.  Then there was laundry, house cleaning, a little this and that, late breakfast, even later shower.  Made a couple phone calls, chatted with neighbors, somehow missed lunch, basted in the sun for a little while...as long as the sun did not hide behind a couple puffy white clouds.
Dinner was next, get this pizza, chips and Pepsi.  After a trying week, this day was a just get by day.  Hopefully will be back to normal tomorrow.
Still not able to download my pics.  A blog needs pics.  Won't give up.  I am working on it.  Something has to give!

Still in Summerdale, Al.  Will be leaving Feb 28 for Brunswick Ga.

Monday, Travel Day

I'm back guys...have not had Internet for a week.  Tim and I are in Birmingham, AL for the night, on our way to Ohio.  We are driving because of Cleo.  I returned home Sunday evening from Ohio.  Got up early this morning to do my laundry, so I could go again.  This trip will be a quick turn around.  Back on the road again is planned for Thursday.

My life has been on a merry go round since January 10.  Arrived in Denver around 2:00 ...had dinner with Tina's family at Old Chicago.  There was a dj playing Shindig Jeperdy.  That  was another first for me. We had so much fun.  I did not know any answers though.  Still enjoyed it.  I know we were there at least 3 hours, maybe more.  Julie and Owen were perfect the entire evening...watching Tom and Jerry on Jessie's phone...awesome sweeties.  Friday evening Tina, Mike and I went to the movies, Les Miserable.  Simply the greatest.  Would recommend it highly.  Saturday rolled around and so did the Denver Broncos.  Sad that they lost.  Saturday evening we watched the movie WAR HORSE.  Since we were going to the play of WAR HORSE on Sunday, Tina thought I would understand the story line better if I watched the movie.  She sure was right, as always.  Another amazing event.  Even the temperature was amazing, like zero...soooooo cold.  But we survived.  Monday was almost a free day except for having dinner with my nephew Jeff and Katie.  Gotta love family...again another blistery cold day and they still got out to have dinner with us.  I love um.

Now comes stressville on Tuesday.  Flying out of Denver to Ohio with a layover in Charlotte.  Well, left late in Denver, so my layover vanished and so did my chances to Ohio for that day.  Thank goodness I could spend the night with Jacki and Geoff.  A bump in the road turn wonderful.  Wednesday arrived 30 minutes late in Ohio.  Will my, OH NO not again ever stop?  Ok, in Ohio I was on the go every day, all day.  I just want to see and be with everyone.

Then sadness came, while I was visiting Joe, my brother, in the hospital for a simple 20 minute outpatient procedure that turned into an overnight stay because his heart got out of rhythm, that was scary enough, I received the news about Bob, Tim's brother.  Planned on flying back to Alabama on Saturday so I could keep Tim company on the trip back up to Ohio.  NO SEATS.  Finally laid this tired old body down in my own bed around 10:00 pm last night.  I bet I'm wearing y'all out just reading this.  It has been a busy time.  And for the most part, simply wonderful.

I am now in Birmingham AL on the way back to my great home state of Ohio.  Will try to pop a quicky note tomorrow night with tomorrow's update.   Please stayed tuned...love you all out there.

well i willstart off by saying donna is in ohio now visting family. she loves to visit. Today has been a very hard day for me, my brother died at 2:15 pm. he has had lung and breathing problem for years.he fought it every day but today he lost. we had a lot of good times together from raising horses to camping and trail riding. he even went to car shows together. i could write all day about our times together but starting to get to me. I will miss you BOB.

well it is sunday night and donna is in co. it is 6 degrees there and i am sitting in foley al. with 76 drgrees.if any boby wants to come visit me i got room. i am trying to keep blog up dated.there is nothing new down here so i am just about done.like to say high to my daughters and wishing they here.

Tuesday, Gloomy O Day

I know our weather could be a lot worse.  Am thankful for high 50s and little wind.  But, no sun sure can take the happy out of a day.  Not much really to share... It's almost 5:00 and I don't know where to day went.  Still cannot download pics.  I'm posting this from my I Pad which I have not been able to do in months.  Crazy blog, one problem gets fixed, one still broke.  Again am thankful I can use my I Pad and not have to bother Tim for his laptop.

Dinner time is next, don't know what that will consist of.  Tim just said maybe sooner or later I may need to get up and fix dinner.  Okkkkkkkkkkkk

Monday, Busy Day

This has been a very busy day.  Started with walks, Tim did an hour, me 3+ miles causally with lots of talking.  It was a sunny day, so I chose to have breakfast outside after my walk.  Oats with raisins, pecans, walnuts, and strawberries.  Healthy and  sooo yummy.  Next the laundry was calling my name.  A little cleaning, very little.  Lunch for Tim, I was still contented with my big bowl of oats.  Then helped prepare and serve the parks ice cream social..  After cleanup it was back to the coach, change clothes and head out to Gulf Shores to LuLu's, Tim's birthday dinner with Lori and Don.  Soooo glad for Tim's choice.  The restaurant sits on the coastal waterway where dolphins swim around and boats, big boats come for dinner.  Lots of entertainment including live musicians most nights.  Also outstanding food.  We were here a couple weeks ago...love this place, especially their fried green tomatoes. 
I forgot to add to my morning activities,tried to fix the downloading of my pics for the blog.  Don helped me.  Thought it is was sort of fixed, but no.  Don't know what to do next.  Help!!!!!

Sunday, Birthday Boy

Special day today, Tim's birthday!!!!!  I will be busy today, so thought a quickie note may be all that could be accomplished.  Don't return home from church and lunch until 2:30 or 3:00, then after dinner, Lori and Don are coming over to play the game Jacki sent her dad for his birthday...APPLES to APPLES.  She plays it a lot with their friends and thought we might do the same.  Will let y'all know. 
We have a damp, chilly, cloudy day so far.  It is 50 degrees but feels much colder.  Better than cold snow.  I appreciate what we have.  Sitting here posting and watching the fireplace... happy, enjoyable way to spend  some time. 
Gotta go, will try to be back tonight, if not tomorrow.  Share birthday pics with you.  I love sharing.

Hey gator, I'm back.  What a fun birthday celebration we had.  Played a few games with Tim's new game Apples to Apples.  It's a little thinking, quick moving, lots of laughing kind of game.  Would certainly recommend it when y'all are looking for new entertainment.  Cherry pie is Tim's favorite, so that was his birthday pie.  Warm cherry pie with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream....yum yum!!!
Before his party began, we had a knock on the door, thinking it Don and Lori.  To our surprise it was about eight to ten neighbors singing happy birthday to Tim.  Just like Christmas carolers.  I almost cried.  We are staying in the greatest place.  Friendship, it is very wonderful.

Tim had a really awesome day.  Phone calls and texts from family and friends made him feel super special.  Thanks guys.

Saturday, Great Day

Hi y'all, hope things are starting out great in this new year for each of you.  So far so good for us.  Today has been very predicable.  Morning coffee, long early walk, almost walked til I dropped, little bit of sun, wonderful conversation with Lori during our walk, late yummy breakfast, laundry, cleaning...morning ended with lunch.  Had a few raindrops off and on during the day. Spent much of the afternoon with Lori making up a bead order for bead banners, my new pasttime.  Dinnertime came rolling in faster than necessary.  I tried a new dish.  There is a restaurant nearby Lamberts, that serves a unbelievable macaroni and tomatoes.  I went on line looking for the recipe.  Found it and fixed it.  Yummmmmmy!!!  Shared some with Lori, my vegan friend. 

Weak Internet, will not open file to download pics.  Will try tomorrow.

Wednesday, Movie Day

This has been a crazy fun day with Lori and Joei.  We started at 11:00, I was the designated driver for the girls day out,  stopped for a little shopping then continued up Hwy 59 to Cobbs Theater.  The consensus was  to make it a double header.  So our movies of choice were Cirque du Soleil  in 3D and  Life of Pi.  Oh man, what powerful movies these were.  So different and yet both, wonderful.  I would recommend both, but maybe not back to back.  Lots of sitting still, and I don't do that very well.  Might need a hankie for Pi.  We had a quickie lunch between the shows.  The only selection within walking distance was Dairy Queen.  I gobbled up a cheeseburger and fries, Joei tried the chicken fingers and fries.  And then sweet Lori was the best...she munched on a giant apple.  Quess Joei and I will be required to walk more laps tomorrow for the yummy fried goodies we partook of.

Today was a cool and damp...chill to the bone kind of day.  Temp was in the 50s.  Rain is coming tomorrow.  Boo hoo!!

Tuesday... HAPPY NEW YEAR

Happy New Year to everyone.  May you recognize and be thankful for all your many blessings each day of our new year. Today has been a wonderful day.  Perfect way to start this up and coming year.  Weather was cloudy then sunny then cloudy again, few sprinkles now and then.  But it did not deter  a 2+ mile morning walk and much friendly interaction with our many camping neighbors along the way.  It's almost like a big happy family mingling around together. 

Our New Years Eve was lots of fun also.  Started Sunday after church with a few food preparations, and heavy cleaning.  A 450 sq ft home can be a pleasant blessing in disguise.  Then a few game ideas were discussed.  Next the big decision was where to go for an early dinner on Monday.  Actually the dinner was not really needed because we, Lori and I, had an awesome list of party food planned.  But dinner it was and Ruby Tuesday was the restaurant of choice.  We did try a couple small local eateries, but they chose to close for the holidays. Ruby Tuesday was right on target for yummy food.  I had scrumptious coconut shrimp and the freshest salad ever and topped with mouth watering, melt in your mouth cheesy biscuits.  And of course I had a second plate full.  Lori, a full fledged vegan could not partake in those cheesy beauties.  Thank goodness for vegans!!! ha ha.  The guys shared in the first serving, the second, all mine.  What can I say...just call me Ms Piggy.  After returning home, it was all about  Party Time ...fun  fun  fun.

Now it is the first day of the new year 2013.  May we all find love and happiness throughout this wonderful time.
