Hoping y'all have enjoyed this glorious day with family and or friends. We are blessed to be back at this time so we could share this special day with Jacki and Geoff. Spent most of the day with them and their babies. All six of them. I can tell old age is creeping up on Odysee, Murphy, and even Angel is slowing down some. We had an awesome time. Geoff fixed yummy burgers and brats. I made potato salad, per Jacki's request. And I had pumpkin pie to bring but forgot it. Stinks to have senior moments like that.
Jacki works with a dog rescue group in Mooresville and the owner stopped by today. She had her puppy, a rot. Jacki had fostered him and his sister for about a month. Suzi, the Rescue owner adopted the him and named him, Preacher. Some name. He was sooo cute and a little feisty. Maggi and Preacher played together the entire time Suzi was there. They were very entertaining.
Yesterday Tim and I had lunch out on the patio. First time we did that since our trip to Nebraska. And that was in June. We have not had good weather for it since we have been in NC. But the weather is starting to inspire more lunches out. Love it! We were being amused by a hawk flying high in the sky looking for it's lunch...a fish from Lake Norman. The hawk would spot one, hover over the perfect location, then dive straight into the water and come up with lunch gripped by its fierce claws. Off it went flying beyond the trees and out of sight. Soooo much fun to watch. There are lots of birds and ducks here. A pair of mockingbirds are building a nest in a bush right in front of the coach. Yep, I will be spending lots of time watching their progress and enjoying the beautiful songs they sing.
Still working on the coach. Trying to find a home for everything is a challenge. I refuse to let it get the best of me.
Guess that's it for now.
Rocky and Maggie just hangin' out
Angel and Cleo fussing over Tim
Check out Jacki's Easter egg toes
Each toe is a different color
Jacki trying to help her dad's hurting knee with electric pulse
Not really sure of the proper name for it
No, it didn't help
Guess his knee is just worn out
That's what happens with a 70 year old knee

Friday, Beautiful Day
This day is the reason we came back to NC...minus Jacki and Geoff and our friends here. Sunny, not much wind, warm, high of 63. Just a gorgeous day! Although last night we broke a record low of 26. That was a 126 year old record. The incredible day made us forget the cold night.
We have some good news...we purchased a new...new to us, coach. Tim did a lot of research before getting our first motor coach. He thought it was what we needed as being fulltimers. Having actually lived this new life a year +, there were happenings that changed our ideas. Our new coach has 4 slides...previously we had 2, a desk/office area in the bedroom, low miles...5100 as apposed to 59,650. This coach is a 2007, the other 2004. It is a gasser and not a diesel, which means Tim can work on it. The diesel, not so much. Most things are the same. Still have washer/dryer. I do have an entertainment center outside. Thats pretty cool. I love watching tv outdoors. Maybe the deal breaker was the expense of operating a diesel. It is 3 to 5 times more expensive, and maybe more at times. Still putting things away. Need to get new decor items with new colors. That will come with time and or when I run into the perfect match. So I do have some photos to share. Remember this is a work in progress. As I make changes, I will share those with you. Hope you enjoy our new home!

Thursday, Still Settling In
Hey guys, giving y'all an update. Tim has completed his first week of work. He has cut grass, weed eated, partly serviced a pontoon, picked up trash, cleaned showers, laundry room and probably much more I forgot. Me, I have been doing a little of this and that. Returned Monday night from my weekend trip in Florida. Had a great time. I love spending time with my family. Just don't get to do that enough. Hopefully in the next two weeks, I can get together with my friends here in beautiful NC. I am planning another trip in April. This time it's to Ohio. I think there is going to be a baby shower for Molli. And I need to check on my dad. Also need to see the rest of my family there. Next week, I hope to start back on my daily blogging.
Hope y'all have a great weekend. Check back in on Monday for an update.

Wednesday, Update
We're back!!! Back to North Carolina. Back to Lake Norman Rv Resort. Man, it was so good seeing the Charlotte sign on I 77. Gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling. Whenever we land, it always takes a few days to unpack and rest up. Then we can start enjoying our new location. At this time, I'm heading out again and will return next week. So my recoup time will be put on hold till then. Being retired, I am blessed to have all the time I need to do whatever I choose. So when I am back on North Carolina soil, then I will celebrate my return...making plans with Jacki and Geoff, and my friends.
Beautiful morning before reaching North Carolina

Past weeks finds.
Not much happening today...laundry, 30 minute walk, donnarella cleaning, reading, duck and bird watching, plan on another walk after dinner. It's been a wonderful day, sunny, not much wind in the morning. Then winds did pick up in the afternoon, making it a tad chilly in the shade. We will be heading out in the morning. Hopefully will be with Jacki and Geoff Monday evening.
Hope y'alls day was as great as mine. Be back in touch next week.

Friday, Where Has The Week Gone
One more day in GA, leaving on Sunday morning, NC bound. Our plans changed a little. Will be at Lake Norman RV Resort Monday afternoon if all goes well. Our days here have flown by. We have buzzed around the area about everyday. Checking out other campgrounds in the area and sightseeing have made our stay interesting. The campground here has unusual habits. It mostly clears out by 10:00am and then around 4ish it will get full again. Amazing. I sure do enjoy the pond behind our coach. So peaceful sitting on the bench watching the ducks, sea gulls, herrons-blue and white, and a hawk that is a great fisherman. Reading fit back in my day since being here. Not walking as much as I did in AL. Tim and I try for an evening walk most nights. Great way to end the day. If I don't get back tomorrow with y'all, check back Monday.
I have been trying to post pics for the last hour. Giving up!!!
Will try later

Monday, Good Day
This has been a good day, traveling around the area seeing a little of this and a little of that. Did not leave home till after lunch, laundry, little cleaning, about a 30 minute walk, and a quick trip to neighborhood grocery. Our plan for tomorrow, staying home doing not much. Think I have more pics than words for this note.
Enjoy...
Birdie looking for breakfast in the pond behind the coach
Reflections in the pond...awesome
A surprise find
This is for you Irene.
Hey Don, this is yours...Forest Fire in the distance

Tim wants to put the moss in his flower pots when we get to NC

Drippy moss
This tree could be used in a horror movie

Saturday, Day of Rest
Still working on getting to NC. Stopped off in Georgia for a little catch up. You know, we have been idle for too long. Four months is a while for not being on the road. We tire easily now. Takes longer to recoup. We have a little fishing pond behind us at our site. There is a tree and a bench under the tree, so guess who is going to get a lot of use those lovelies. I may need to get a fishing pole. Or maybe a good book will do the trick.
Being on the road cost us celebrating our great grandson's first birthday with him. Today is his special day. So, happy birthday Trace. We will make it up to you. Much love coming your way sweet boy.
The campground where we are, Coastal Georgia, is a new resort. We have been hitting a few with age lately. We also have been touring some in the areas where we've stopped. This is very cherry. Will be exploring the area in the next few days. I will share my finding later. I popped a few pics earlier, so they are....
Site #118, tight getting in, but ok
Location for my little bit of R &R
Cleo's yard for a few days
She is experiencing some motion sickness this afternoon
Her dad is a crazy driver, that's what she told me
A shot of our park
It has street lights. Not used to them. Some campgrounds are really dark at night.
More to come tomorrow.
