We woke up this morning to wild winds rocking the ship...Tim was out drinking his coffee, when a sweet doe was visiting our site. He came in to get me, almost to late, she was running toward the cornfield and the highway. Sinking feeling in my heart till she turned away from all danger and trotted off to safety.
Midmorning, headed out to run errands...post office, hardware store, and grocery. With still powerful winds bombing around, on the way home, a huge big rig passed us doing at least 80. Now, in windy SD, it is very flat in this area. So when this big daddy passed us, kaaaboom, I actually thought the jeep's top had ripped off. Thank goodness no damage, just my nerves.
Lunch was happening next. Then, a bunch of coach business was on Tim's agenda. My agenda was walking, with the wind calming down, a pleasent hike around the park was good therapy.
After a scrumptious dinner, a peaceful evening followed. We are researching our next stay. As of now, it will be Chimney Rock Pioneer Crossing in Nebraska. It is near the Oregon Trail. Tomorrow my morning is going to be a history lesson on the Oregon Trail. Will let you know how that turns out.
I want to give my little brother Danny, a big fat happy birthday wish. He is now far away in California...missing him like crazy. Hope your day will shower you with much happiness. Love you bunches baby.
My morning surprise
