Monday, Gulf Shores Day

Today started out foggy, foggy.  Tim was the first walker in the park.  Again, I passed on my morning stroll.  Hopefully, tomorrow will be my start up day.  As my title states, we visited Gulf Shores today.  Left home around 9:30 am.  We both love that area.  Beautiful beaches, very clean, fun restaurants, awesome places to walk, friendly folks, and the list could go on.  We passed by the park where we stayed last January...Perdido Key, Fl.  It's about an hour from here.  While driving around, we both had a warm and familiar feeling.  We had heard about a new restaurant right on the beach, The Gulf.  It is made from 4 overseas cargo containers.  They actually have grass growing on the beach from sod being laid over the sand.   Also, there is outdoor furniture scattered around the back.  It is now my favorite place to go.  So much atmosphere.  Just absolutely love it.  We stayed, sitting on a wrap around couch, watching boats going by, chatting with folks, and soaking up the sun for at least an hour and a half, maybe two.  After that, we went to a quiet section of Gulf Shores Beach... Tim sat in a gazebo out of the sun, me, right down in the water I went.  Love the beach, even the sand is not a really big problem anymore.  Not sure how long we stayed there, but got home around 5:00.   We both had just a super day!!!!!

A sad sight, one of our favorite spots, under a bridge where we used to watch fishermen and dolphins swim by.  Evidently, a storm washed ashore and broke up the road .  So sad!!!

This beauty was always here before keeping the fishermen company.  He could be seen hanging around, hoping for a handout.
Another shot of the devastation. Huge chunks of blacktop missing...buckled up and mostly washed away.
Not the same guy.  This handsome dude was spotted in the Intrawaterway, near a rv park we were checking out.  I surely do love critters of all kind.

My new fave restaurant, THE GULF
The back, where orders are placed, and most of the tables are.  There are some tables on top where that light brown sections are.
We both ordered the same, grouper sandwhich and fries
                                                 My first time for grouper...yummmmmm

                                                                I could live here 24/7
                                                                 Sleeping under the stars
Even Tim liked this magnificate eatery
                                                                   An superb view
Awesome waves, wish y'all could hear the beauty also
Tim loves watching boats and ships in the water
Cargo ship, in the distance, heading to Pensacola Harbor
Tim is the smart one...staying out of the sun
Fighter jets, maybe soaring loudly in the sky
                                                                 I love Orange Beach

Life is soooooo good
God is soooooo great
Nite all
