Not many things compare to the love a daughter has for her mom. Three years ago today, God took another angel, my mom home.
My Beautiful Mother
I miss her on her birthday, I miss her on her death day, and I miss her on Mother's Day. I miss her every day. My mom was a wonderful loving mom. She taught me to love...love everyone. I will miss her every day, forever. Until we are together again in Heaven.
One of the hardest things is for a daughter to lose her mother.
My sweet mom
I love you still, now and forever
All the daughters reading this, always kiss your mommas and tell them how much you love them.

Sunday, Most Wonderful Day
We have had terrible Internet service all week. I hope I can finish this post before it fails. I want to say that the last two days have been awesome. Today better than yesterday. I could live where today was everyday. I spent some of today down on the dock. I had my music, ipad, morning reading, cold water, my cell, sunscreen, and my camera. I even had early morning breakfast, Tina's oats, down there. I am so blessed. Had my crock pot filled with beef stew cooking. Around two, I came back to make a FIRST for me...guacamole. Holy Moly, it was so good. So sorry for Tim, he doesn't like it. Jacki and Geoff were planning on coming over today and that was going to be our little snack before dinner. Jacki said at one of her visits, where's our munchies. That time I did not prepare any. So, never again...my baby will always have some goodies to nibble on while dinner is getting ready. Guess what, they had to postpone their trip over because of being in the middle of laying new flooring in their downstairs. Now, that was ok, yes I'm sad, but it's ok. But not my guacamole. It is a dish that needs to be eaten soon after preparation, maybe a delay of an hour for chilling. And it was soooooo delicious. I'm not even trying to save it. I dished up some, bagged a few tortilla chips, and shared them with fellow campers. I know what my dessert will be tonight. I will make a new batch tomorrow and pray it turns as yummmmmy. Jacki and Geoff, we and the guacamole sure hope to see y'all tomorrow. I cherish every minute I get to be with her and Geoff.
The past few days have been normal, not much happening kind of days. I did go to the dr for my yearly checkup. Pasted with flying colors. Did have a bone scan done. Results coming next week along with scheduling the famous colonoscopy. That will be my first. Oh, did I hear y'all say...
to much info. Got it. Moving on.
We had an enjoyable surprise visit yesterday from Tim J and his son, Caleb. Tim is our adopted son for at least 20 + years. It's been a while, maybe the last time we were here, since seeing him. If you put the two Tims together, there is always lots of laughter. Loved seeing them, and hopefully we will get the chance to be with the rest of his family, Tonya, Alec, Ashton, and Addison.
Gonna call it quits for now. Don't want to press my luck with the Internet before I post some pics.
Hoping y'all's day was as glorious as mine.
Tim's payback to me for taking pics of him while working on something
Really Tim, me cleaning the bathroom floor
Payback stinks
Wednesday night sunset
So awesome, I have a few images
Amazingly awesome
Almost looks like fire and smoke
Spectacular
Astonishing
Have at least 10 more, but will stop
I do LOVE my sky
Yes Tim, it's me
I told you it was me!
My first visitor of the morning
Across the lake home owners using their shepherd to chase the Canada Geese away
Action on Lake Norman
A dad pulling his daughter on a tube
Mallard ducks scooting by
And several, but only captured two Canada geese coming in for a landing
More visitors
This must be a new sport
And another
Anyone knowing the correct name, please drop me a line
I would call it surfless surfing
Some campers staying here at Lake Norman Resort
And a kayak in the background
Had to share some sky photos
What image can you distinguish
And again
Look close and you will see a jet between the two puffs
Thank you for not being a rain cloud
It really was dark
Tim snoozing during lunch
He must have worked sooo hard
Caleb and Cleo
He's a handsome dude, like his dad
Catching up on the latest
A happy crew
Can't beat family
Thanks Tonya for following us
Means a lot
That's it for today, unless I capture a gorgeous sunset. Then I'll be back.....
Life is good
God is Love
Nite all
PS
Sunday night sunset
The finale
Good night again!

Monday, Another First
Today started off with rain, not much of a surprise. I think it rained til early afternoon. I even had to run to the grocery in the rain. I sound like a baby, huh. Did a load of laundry, some house cleaning, and some reading. I'm sitting here trying to think about today's happenings. Time just goes by so fast, from coffee time to now it's almost bedtime. My...my.
Ok, I said I had another first and here it is. Kayaking. That's right. I have been wanting to try it ever since we arrived at Lake Norman. Well, it finally happened tonight. It was sooooo much fun. Greg, the manager here went with me. Next time I'm doing it alone. I can't wait to go out again, if I can keep the rain away.
After that wonderful excitement, came a beautiful sunset. Life doesn't get much better.
Step one, get in without flipping over
Still working on form
Yes, we ran right into the dock post
Yeah, home again without tipping over
FUN...FUN...FUN
Beautiful
And again, beautiful
Breath taking
Final setting..still a beauty
Life is good
God is Love
Nite all

Thursday, Playing Catch-Up, Again
This is Thursday evening, trying to share a few days events in one writing. A little is better than none. I will start with today, and what a glorious day it has been. Would love to have this weather everyday. Low humidity, high 70s, and beautiful Carolina blue skies with puffy white clouds. I was reading something today that stated stormy days bring beautiful sunsets. And man, did we have one of the most awesome sunsets last night. Our neighbor Mark, just arriving home from work, came to visit as he was enjoying the spectacular colorful sky. It's nearing sunset time tonight, and hoping for another show from the sky.
I had a marvelous time at Tina's. Even with her house being topsie tervie, with almost the total upstairs being gutted by the remodeling, we still had a blast. Jessie's shower was fun. Going to the granite warehouse with Tina was a tremendous experience. Now I'm in love with granite. I want Tim and I to go on a field trip to one. Even the fireplace store, which took a couple hours to get to...it was in Colorado Springs, was amazing. Spending time with Julie and Owen is always fun. Even was able to enjoy Jeanette, Mike's mom. SHE IS A HOOT. Jeannie came in Thursday night. Fun...fun...fun...Love being with her. Can't forget Jessie. What a sweetie she is. As I said, I had a marvelous time.
I will use my pics to share my new frig with y'all. Thanks to Geoff and some neighbors here at the park, Tim now has milk to drink again. It was a struggle, but it is in. I still need trim around the sides, and Geoff is, again going to help or I should say fix that for us. He is very good with wood. He is a sweetie pie. My family has lots of SWEETIE PIES!!! We are very blessed.
I'll finish by sharing my joy of watching tv through my ipad. Jacki got me the cable a couple weeks ago and this afternoon, connected it up. Now I can watch Drop Dead Diva on the big screen. Love that show. I started watching season 1 a little while back, now I'm on season 4. Our cable channels at the park does not get Lifetime, so I have not seen any of this season so far. But I will!
I will end this message now and start posting pics. I'm glad to be back and will try to stay in touch better. Love y'all!!!
Out with the old
And again
Wow, that was a chore
Tim found a wasp nest attached to the top of old frig
And also this little critter
Maybe a big critter
Geoff working on the floor for the new frig
And....WAALAA

Jacki having a thank you dinner
For Geoff helping with the frig
Pulled pork dinner
Thanks so much Geoff
