Hey guys, it is Friday night and we made it to Daytona Beach as planned. I will start by sharing a little of our Thursday. Beautiful sunrise, knew is going to be a wonderful day. And it was except for a few minor glitches...lost jeep keys, dead battery in jeep, an hour late giving Cleo her traveling medication, found lost jeep keys, charged jeep battery, and Cleo made it just fine. Tim decided to by pass the interstate for a state road Hwy17. Great choice, easy driving, saw a few wonders like a telephone pole saw mill, I'm calling it that for lack of a better term,. Lots of buzzards, love em, a road named Round O, lots of moss hanging from rather low trees. That's all that comes to my tired mushy mind at the moment. We were really unprepared for our Savannah visit...but made it work anyway. Started with the historic downtown area...awesome old buildings, monuments, churches, horse carriage rides. No didn't take one. Finally found the road by the river. My favorite part. I really liked listening to the different music makers. We had dinner at Tubbys. Watched the folks walking around and the tugboats zooming by. Can't forget the experience of paying for parking with credit card. Probably took fifteen minutes to master it. A fellow came up and said that it took his mother over 30 minutes to figure it out. Had an awesome time in Savannah.
Today was mostly driving with no mishaps. Then, the happenings started when we arrived at the park, Racetrack KOA at Daytona Beach. They changed our site we reserved IN March. Spent all day, that day, deciding where we wanted to stay for the month of November. Visited all the campgrounds in the area. We chose this place over the others. The site they tried to give us was not doable. Small and tight. I think they tried to squeezed in another site. Wasn't having it. After about thirty minutes and lots of fretting and exhaustion, and Tim almost getting kicked out before we even got in, we settled for one that was better. Our new frig quit working for about an hour. Then it started back up. That brings us to now. Bedtime. So I will start posting a few pics.
Enjoy...
