The last few days have felt like August, not June. I try to think that it could be worse. In my new life style, weather plays a bigger part in how I feel, think and act. Don't really know why, just does. Playing catch up again. Let's see, Friday... was not a work day for Tim. We did errands together, and had dinner out at Pizza Hut. Rained hard and long Friday night. No wind, thank goodness just rain.
Saturday, cleaning and laundry kept me busy in the morning. Then another first... went to Davidson College for a play that night with Pat, workamper friend here at the park. Davidson Community Players performed Pajama Party. It was a cute little play from the fifties. Fifties music and clothes and sort of slow paced. But the music was fun and the players seem to be having fun.
Sunday, today could have been called Friends Day. We had several friends from the park stopping by, chatting for a while. Enjoyed that a lot. Then Pat organized a potluck dinner bringing leftovers. I think she just made the name up because she had leftovers she wanted to use. I did also, so it worked out great. We ate down at the park bar, which was closed, don't know why. I think no bartender was available to work. Yeah for us! It rained on us so we moved in under shelter except for Pat. The only brave one. Tom came when his work shift was over. There are four workampers now plus me... Tim, Pat, Tom, and Drew.
We are having a thunderstorm now. Not bad, but lots of rain. So before I lose this post I will close.
I spotted this cutie pie this morning while walking Cleo

I have no sunset photos for tonight, rain, rain, rain. But I do have a couple images from yesterday's skies. Enjoy
Tim thought the sky looked more like ocean waves instead of clouds

Thursday, Triple Days Identical
The last three days, all the same. Hot...humid...storms! I also did the same for the last three days, laundry, clean, cook, read, visit with neighbors, walk Cleo, shopping...that may be it. I did have a wonderful surprise Tuesday night. Gus FaceTimed me. Well, maybe it was Molli, but I was able to chit chat with Gus. What a treat. Gus is so cute. Molli says he is a really good baby. Only cries when he is hungry. He sleeps well and makes a lot of funny faces. Thanks so much Molli, sure did love it. You are the best.
One evening, not sure which, Pat came over and invited me to go with her for ice cream. I never turn down ice cream. She had had a very hard and trying day and needed to unwind. A simple event was tons of fun.
We have another new workamper. Drew, from Ohio, Pittsburg, and New Hampshire. He has a sweet dog...Ava Sue. Drew and I chat a lot. He is parked in front of me. Friday will be his first work day. He is new to this life, real new. Like, his first trip out. Drew has a very colorful background, flight attendant, DJ are the two I recall quickly. Good luck to you Drew. We are here to help.
Trying to find exciting news to share, sorry just not happening. So not to bore you, will wind this note down.
Have a great evening...stay cool wherever y'all might be.
The only photos I have to share are Tuesday night's sunset. Let me explain that they all were shot the same night at the same time with me just moving around...to the west of course, then north, east, and maybe south. Please enjoy...
These images were just a few minutes apart
Sorry for the quanity of sunset images, just love um
A couple other pics I wanted to share...
Baby Gus 10 days old

Monday, Typical
Morning y'all, Happy Monday to everyone out there. I was getting ready to say my day had a stinky start. Then, just as I looked out my window...Mr. Great Blue Heron flew across the lake with amazing grace, giving me complete joy in my heart. Now I'm observing a mockingbird skidding nose dive across a motor coach right below me. That was pretty amusing. So tell me, how can I let a little back ache and a few other old age aches steal my happiness. Nope, it is not going to happen. GOD is with me He will take my burden. So simple yet amazing. GIVE IT TO GOD
We sold our large Coleman gas grill today. Tim is busy putting a new smaller one together. It's all about weight and space with our new life style. Now, he is changing the connector plug on the coach for the lighting system for the jeep when in tow. That project has been a bear. First connection we ordered on line. And of course...didn't fit. So we went to the parts house and purchased one by trying it to get exactly what we needed. So glad Tim is a wonderfully smart mechanic. Bingo, working perfect now. He has been a busy little beaver today. When the heat rises a little more, hopefully he will slow down. Just remembered, we are taking a cruise this afternoon. I will drive so he can have a some R and R then. When working, my kids used to here that everyday after lunch...heads down, eyes closed for a little R and R. What things we remember.
Will send this out to y'all now with a few sunset pics from Saturday night and pic of the SUPERMOON
Enjoy...
All so beautiful
Pat and I were cruising around the park in the golf cart and observed this
Camper Bill had caught this huge catfish earlier. He was getting ready to clean it and cook it.
The best of all my super moon shots
Another décor item
Yellow is more vivid in person
Little by little I'm achieving my makeover

Last nights sunset
Love my sunsets
Last image for now...come back if you can, may have something from the rest of the day
I really appreciate y'all taking time out of your busy day to follow our travels and happenings.
Thanks so much
We took a ride around looking at other campgrounds. Back in time for the thunderstorm to hit. Think it lasted about a couple hours. Not much wind with it, but lots of rain. Thank goodness!!!
After dinner, just sat outside. The rain cooled it down a bit. Pat came over for a chat. She gave us these little treats of a pretzel with a Rollo and topped with a pecan. Yummmmm. Sure going to make these.
The clouds have taken over the skies. So no pics of our sunset for tonight. BooHoo!!!
That's it for this typical Monday.

Saturday, HOT...HOT...HOT...
Today has been a cooker, it's 7:20 pm and still in the 80's. We are in for the night except at sunset. It's supposed to be a great one. Been out all day long. The sun and heat sure do drain your energy. I gave the coach a really good cleaning early this morning. Started right after our scrumptious pancakes and bacon cooked and eaten outside. That is not our norm. Sure was fun!
For lunch Tim had chicken salad on toast and chips. Me, I had breakfast, oats. Not just oats, but the most delish way to serve oats. Tina fixed it for us on my last trip to her. Ok, this is how you make it.
Oats and milk and yogurt, mix together, refrig overnight. I do not do this. I do this step in the morning and refrig a couple hours maybe, but always one hour. I hold the yogurt till the final mix. Then add yogurt, walnuts, apples, cinnamon, dates, blueberries. I use coconut milk and Yoplait greek coconut yogurt. Toasted almonds are the best, sprinkled on top, but usually I take the easy way and toss in a small handful of walnuts. Oh my goodness, this is soooooo good.
After a quick errand run to Mooresville and a stop at Sonic for Happy Hour vanilla coke, we finished the afternoon sitting out doing very little. Tim with Cleo and I with my Ipad, our time was very peaceful. I have a new puzzle app. Love it. It plays calming music while I made the puzzle. As I said, very peaceful. Then a surprise came knocking on our door, so to speak. Tom, another workamper, invited us over for chili and cornbread cookout. Once again, another mouth watering good meal. But let me tell you, he had jalapenos in it, another word for hot needs to be developed. Now y'all know I have a sissy mouth...ah not any more. I ate the whole bowl. I did use the cornbread and my water for help. Tom is sooo sweet to have us over. I love those kind of happenings.
I'm now waiting for the sunset to come and also I'm really excited for the bigger than ever moon to pop up over the trees. Maybe 30 minutes or so.
I wanted to say that if y'all read my writing yesterday morning, please return to it for the update pics of Gus and Riley. I now know how to go from FB to my blog. At least I did yesterday. Hopefully I can do it again.

Trying so hard to retrieve Gus and Riley's pics.
FINALLY
Here he is Mr. Handsome Dude.........GUS MATTHEW SALYER
Now for Riley ......Well, guess these two come first, Riley's sister and bro
Maggie and Rocky
This is sweet..... Riley
This has been quite a chore. Found them in download and not my pictures where I thought I was sending them. The picture folder was opening as an email and not an image. My blog can't load an email. Finally got that after at least 200 times. Doesn't matter, finally figured it out, with help from the Man upstairs.
Lesson to learn... never give up!!!
I'm publishing this now, so if you are seeing this please return for...the rest of the story.
This was too precious not to share
Also wanted to share our other great grandson, Trace
He is 15 months old and sooo special
Just a sweetie pie
Look at this cute froggy

Didn't do much today. Trying to think about it. Guess being on the computer a lot. Thanks to Jacki, I can now pull FB images and place them here. Thanks baby, love you.
Dinner was crockpot Italian sausage and veggi's. Yummmmmmmm. Shared with Pat, the other workamper. Wish I could end the day with ice cream but no. So I will settle for an awesome sunset pic. Patiently waiting for it to come. I just heard our weekend will have a marvelous full moon. Can't wait.
Tonight's beginning sunset
Another beautiful sunset image
Someone just released a bunch of balloons
Perfect timing
That may be a first

Thursday, Important Announcements
And the important announcement is...Tim and I are great grandparents again. Molli and Matt blessed us with Gus Matthew Salyer...8 pounds 4 oz and 21 inches. Wooooohooooo. All are doing well. Coming home today. Will post pic as soon as I get one. Can't retrieve from my phone, old fashion phone.
Trying to download Gus. No luck. But I'll keep trying. He will be on the next blog as soon as I figure it out.
Another important announcement...Jacki and Geoff adopted Riley. Yep, that makes #6. Bless them too. And as with Gus, will post a pic when I get one.
Went on a boat ride around beautiful Lake Norman, with park friends one evening this week. Playing catch up stinks. Had so much fun and it was a lovely evening. Do have pics for you.
Last night I went to the play Charlotte Squawks Ninesence with a few of my school friends. It was at the Booth Playhouse in downtown Charlotte. It was like Saturday Night Live with poofs about pop culture, sports, life and politics both local and national. Using the area's most talented singers, dancers and actors. It was so hilarious. Had a great time.
Today was a little of this and a little of that. Nothing notable happened. Started this blog about 5 hours ago, interruptions kept delaying the finish. Now I'm down to the photos.
Lake Norman beauties
Ronnie, Pat and me
Capt. Greg taking it easy while First mate Pat mans the wheel
The next few images are interesting sightings around the lake
Swallow nest under a bridge
Again tons of swallow nests
First mate Pat
Spotted a great blue heron near the bank
What a beauty
Unusual section of the sky
Mostly sky was clear with Carolina blues and thin clouds
Some like this
And this
And this, amazing
Love my skies
Look at this...captured a wedding
Congrats to them
Heading back in
Look for the yellow jeep on the hill
That's us
Another shot of the campground
Sunset that night
Maybe more sky images than lake ones. Oh well!!
Look at this cool boat staying at the campground
1954 all aluminum Feathercraft
Make sure y'all make this pic larger, its a beauty
Tonight's beautiful sunset
Where are you Mr. Man in the Moon
