                                                               Happy Birthday to you

Forgive me if yesterdays blog was a bit confusing.  I was just a little rattled writing it.  I do have to say,  all is well.  Only mishap, was with my nerves.  Now, all is over.  Enjoying the day, most of it anyway.  After lunch, refrig defrost time.  Dreading it for about a week, but it wasn't to terribly bad.  The mess was, and I don't do messes.  Normally, I just call for Tim, and handles it.  Not this time.  And that's ok.  I do have a rather dream life... Loving every minute of every day.  You may hear that from time to time.  It sure is true.

                                                                        What a mess
                                                    And PUFFFFFFFF  orderly again

Friday, Fright Nite

I have to start with the fright.  Just now, we were outside in our new theatre area, enjoying tv, for the first time in 3 weeks, and a huge burst of heavy rain and crazy winds came in like a tidal wave.  Our 20 ft. awning whipped up and back down.  I thought it was a gonner.  Thank goodness Tim got it under control and rolled back up.  We were hurrying like madmen, getting everything put up.  Now, 15 minutes later, rains still coming down, but not bad.  No heavy winds anymore.  Wow, what an experience!!  Tim just went out to help a motor home that just arrived in the dark, in the rain.  This is a very confusing campground.  They did not know where to go.  No camp host here.  So Tim tried to find their site.  They turned up a dead end drive, and had to back out all the way down, in the rainy, darkness.  Tim, my hero.  He directed them to their site.  Tim came in saying he was glad he went to help them.  This was their first time out and the wife was driving.  The gentleman was elderly and could not hear well.  So, Tim, who does not hear well at all also, is helping someone else, with in hearing problem.  Sweet, but super funny.

Before this event, we were having a not much to talk about day.  Tim got his ladder from Jacki last night, so he washed windows.  And of course, now it's raining on them.  I washed a couple loads of laundry.  We walked about 4 miles this morning, all around this campground.  We cooked out and ate out tonight for dinner.  Fun, fun, and fun.

That's about it for tonight.
Sweet dreams...

No matter what, life is great.
God is great

Tuesday, Travel Day

We are back in beautiful North Carolina tonight.  Yesterday morning gave me some doubt about if we were going to be making it here tonight.  Our schedule was, on Monday morning, we were having new tires installed on the coach.  Should have been on the road by noon, heading here.  Well, Monday morning, this big, beautiful baby, would not start.  Several of the men at the campground came to offer their help.  No luck...Had to call mobile repair. So, after 4 hours,  and I won't say how much it cost, we got on the road, toward the tire dealer.  Then, 6 hours later, finally put the peddle to the metal, and off we went.  I do want to thank Sweat's Tire Center for giving us great service plus free ice cream.  They worked overtime to get the job done.   Drove as far as Montgomery, Al before stopping.  Up at 4:00 and off at 4:30, yes, am...arrived around 3:00.  And again, yes, Tim is crazy tired, and me, well a little less than him.  We are staying at the Charlotte Motor Speedway campground.  Will send pics of the campground tomorrow.

Cleo relaxing in her chair, enjoying the ride

Good nite and God Bless
See youall tomorrow

PS...had dinner tonight at 5 Guys, my fave

Sunday, Oh, Glorious Day

This has been just a perfect day.  The weather, magnificent, Tim's been, over the top, sweet to me, and my wonderful friend Lori, she and I have shared God, all day.  She gave me some of her cd's to share, and I did the same.  I had to turn down TOBY MAC.  I really don't know who can listen to him softly.  Lori is the first friend I have made in my new life, and, that I never want to lose.  I feel so blessed having met her.  God is wonderful...

We are leaving in the morning for our next, new adventure.  We will be pulling in to Charlotte Motor Speedway campground on Tuesday, hopefully.  Can't wait to see my baby, and you too Geoff, and all my friends.  I'll be calling  you girls.   Will probably be there at least 3 weeks.

Gotta go pack all the objects sitting around, so they don't get broken during the move.  My poor brahma bull, that I love so much, has had 3 injuries since I left NC.  Both horns and a hoof  decided to leave his body.  But thanks to Tim and gorilla glue, he is almost back to normal.

Life is wonderful..
God is great!!!

I love you Lori, and sure am going to miss you

Saturday, Run Around Day

Today has been a very busy day.  It started with, I can't even tell you how many laps around the campground I made this morning.  First alone, then with Lori, my sweet  neighbor friend.  She and I walked at least 2 miles, maybe more.  Then, breakfast came, after that, bike riding.  Again, too many trips to count.  Lots of exercise for me.

On one of my trips around the campground, I heard goats or sheep hollowing.  So, I ventured over to the fence and there they were, a boy and a girl.  Beautiful beauties.  So, of course I had to hurry back to the coach and retrieve my camera.  Now this fence is a double privacy one.  So I had to slide the camera in between the slots and click, and hope for the best.  Not to bad.  So much fun...

When lunch was over, we headed out to the hardware store, and Camping World.  It took 3 hardware store stops to find what Tim needed.   And more supplies for the coach.  Actually the hardware store was also for the coach.  Will it ever end?  Probably not for about a year.  There is a Coleman Outlet near us, and that was another stop.  We needed another chair for outside.  That store was really awesome.  It had everything, anyone camping, would ever need.

Our last stop was to Piggly Wiggly for some orange juice.  Then, it was home.

When dinner was over, Tim and I both took rides on the bike.  I did not ride as many laps as Tim, I was just too  pooped.   Now I'm sitting outside, with the shade of the trees and a cool breeze, writing this blog.

Life is just awesome.
Nite all...
Check out the horns and gorgeous eyes

Friday, Busy, Fun Day

Today, has been a very full day.  Started with about a mile walk around campground with Lori, my neighbor friend.  Then the rain came.  Lasted till late afternoon.  Although the rain was here, Tim and I traveled a little ways south, to an Old Time Pottery store.  It was huge.  And a lot of fun to go to.  Something must have been wrong with me, because, I purchased nothing.  The size might have been over powering. Or maybe, because, my new life requires no fu fu.  And thats ok.

For lunch, there was a, come if you want, at Ryans scheduled for all of us at the campground.  Around 17, maybe 20 folks decided to take the plunge, including us.  And yes, I ate till I could not take another bite.  3 big plate fulls.  I am my dad's daughter.

Back at the ranch, I rode my bike about 2 miles, to help with my lunch.  Then the rains came again.  Back inside I went and found a good book.

Fun again started at 7:00 with karaoke.  More singers this time.  Never knew that karaoke could be so entertaining.  Walking back to my coach, wow, what a gorgious clear sky with stars just a twinkling, we have.  The little things in life can be so wonderful.

                                                                     Karaoke singers
I thank God everyday for all my blessings.
Life is so spectacular!!!

Thursday, A Stormy Day

A gloomy day, this has been. Cloudy, rainy, and very windy at times.   I was able to sit out some this morning and finish my book.  Even thou not all days can be sunny, they still are in my heart.  That sounds soppy, but true.

Bad news, my dryer died.   Not sure what the outcome of this will be.  I used it everyday, guess I wore it out.

Had a nice visit with our neighbor friends today. A lot of the campers, including us, will be leaving in the next few days.  Won't be many left.

Life is great... even in the rain.

This is what I do a lot...and lovin it!!!

Tuesday, What A Beauty

This has been a gorgeous day.  Sunny and breezy, just wonderful.  We did not do much today, Tim worked on the coach, and I read.  I read most of the day.  I love my new life.  We made our plans for leaving here...next Monday.  Heading back to North Carolina.

I wanted to share a little story of love and kindness.  One of the campers makes wooden tractors and trailers, as his hobby.  Then he loads them up in his car.  While he's traveling around, if he wonders upon a needy child, he gives one to him/her...just to see a smile pop up on their faces.  There still is love in this wonderful world.

Hoping to go to a 50's ice cream parlor tonight.  Will let you know...

Life is great...

                                                               A LABOR OF LOVE

Monday, Work Day

This was an ordinary Monday, laundry, cleaning, more laundry. Then after lunch, my neighbor Lori, who makes jewelry and wind chimes, displayed her work in the clubhouse, for sale.  That was a different way to spend a couple hours.  Fun.. And yes, I found a couple pairs of earrings I could not live without.  If Tim can buy boy toys, then I can buy girl toys.

Took a bike ride before dinner.  I think I went 5 minutes longer than yesterday.  If I can improve 5 minutes a day, I'll take it.

It's 6:30 and still doing the laundry.  My washer/dryer combo does take a while.  I am so thankful that my coach has one.  May take a while, but very convenient.

Never allow fear to obscure the vision of God's bounty all around you.  I say this because, I was afraid of bridges.  Never liked to drive over them.  Well, living around water, there are many bridges to cross.  So, it was either fear them, and not enjoy the surrounding, or, as I did, ask God to take the awful feeling away.  And you know, He did just that.  How wonderful, I can look at the water, watch for dolphins, boats, birds just everything.  It is true... Ask and you shall receive!

Life is just wonderful!!

Off for another bike ride

                                             The campground's mascot, waiting patiently
while the grass was being cut
                                                                 He is such a sweety

Sunday, Easy Peaceful Day

I will have to say, this has been a calm, wonderful day.  Started out with a big breakfast...sausage and eggs for Tim, and I chose french toast and sausage.  Cleo got a bath.   Then, Tim got his new tool box out and filled it with all the tools he brought from home.  He had the tools in cardboard boxes, plastic container, and a small metal box.  Now they are altogether, waiting for him to need one.  After that, Tim played with his new air compressor.  Boys and their toys.....

After lunch, my sister Tina and I facetimed each other.  I showed her around the campground...that was so much fun.  Technology, wow, it's so awesome.

While Tim and Cleo took a walk, I decided to get o' yeller...my bike out for a bit of exercise.  Sure need to do this everyday.  My legs are begging to go to bed...but I say, not quite yet.

As you can see,my camera is doing better...

Hope everyone's day was as great as ours...

Life is great...

                                                                      New tool box
