Thursday, Birding At the Bay

Today started out hazy, but very bright.  I didn't think it was going to be a beach day, but thankfully the sun burned out the yuck.  So, after lunch, off I went for my final visit to the sugar white powdery sand.  To my surprise, this beautiful part of the beach, was blasted with non other than oil.  Not like I've seen on tv, but still ugliness.  It just broke my heart.

The bay behind my campground brought an afternoon for birding.  A fisherman was cleaning his daily catch when I came down.   That meant he would throw the scraps from the fish cleanned into the water.  This can be a daily chore.  This also means the birds that eat fish, hang around for those tasty leftovers.  Was I ever entertained.  Life is never boring.  I even saw 2 or 3 or maybe 4 dolphins gliding by.  In and out of the water so smoothly.  Too fast for my camera.  I'll just use my memory.  Awesome...

Tonight will be used for packing up.  We are leaving here tomorrow to head northwest to our new campground in Alabama.  We will be there a couple weeks.

Nite to all...
Life is wonderful!!!!

                                                                       Saddness

                                                                   What a beauty
                                                               Not a graceful landing
                                                                       But still successful
The sea gulls are heading for a snack also
Even a herring watching for something to hit the water
