A blessed morning to each of my loving family members and friends. We here at or near Denver, NC experienced an absolutely beautiful morning sunrise. Hoping the rest of y'all did also. The BIG DAY pertains Tim's final dr visit.
Well y'all, I have to play catch up once again. It is now Wednesday at about 8:00 in the evening and so much has has transpired since the above starting paragraph. By the time it took me to draft those first few sentences, Tim was in and out of the doc's office with the happiest smile on his pretty little face. Telling all the nurses and office help, he would be seeing them next year. His device was activated and he was " dry". It has been almost 36 hours and Praise the Lord, he is still dry. Prayers have been answered.
So, back home we went , started packing up for the next big adventure we will be experiencing. Then about 10:30 this morning all we had on our minds, or at least Tim's mind was waving "so long" to the beautiful state of North Carolina, where we have called home for last 25 + years. Maybe minus two of the very last, since our new home is wherever we decide to park it. And as I am speaking to y'all and I might add, another first for me...we are at Summerville SC, and get this, at
RUBY TUESDAY 'S campground disguised as their parking lot. Tim was extremely tired. We also needed to check out the map. He pulled off Interstate 26 and the first large parking area we passed was this one. After sitting a little while, and checking Mr. Atlas out, the exhaustion set in on poor Timmy. So we called it quits, cause we could. That's the beauty of traveling in your home. Our plans were to be in Charleston for a couple days. Then heading toward Daytona Beach. For some reason, guess too many stops and cautious driving, a four hour trip expanded a few more hours. But not to worry. We are retired at this moment. So, also because we can, our plans changed from Charleston to Savannah. Hopefully after a good nights sleep, we will be visiting the awesome city of Savannah.
There is so much more fun happenings I want to share with y'all from the last few days, guess I'll save it for another day. Or maybe a rainy day.
May each of you have an awesome night. Thanks for all the prayers y'all sent our way.
My blog may be starting to return daily...I hope.

Wednesday, A Week of Happenings
I will start by saying we are both well and very excited about leaving NC. It is also a sad time for me, leaving Jacki and Geoff and all their babies. And all our friends also. Jacki and Geoff are planning on visiting us at Christmas or near then. And that in itself is super duper exhilarating.
Tim's last dr appointment is next Tuesday. Yahoooooo! He keeps counting the days, 6 more. The dr will activate Tim's device and barring any complications, that will be it. We will get up the next morning and hit the blacktop, departing to Daytona Beach for the month of November. I plan a quick trip to Ohio during that time. Brother Danny will also be visiting Ohio then. It's been way over a year and a half since we have been together. I see sleepless nights, but wonderful times ahead. I will also get to see Gus, great grandson, for the first time. He is four months old now. Again wonderful times. Of course being with all the rest of my family there will also be wonderful. Don't want to leave anyone out. That means you too, DAD!
I will let some photos tell, the rest of the story, from this previous week. Enjoy...
A view of Lake Norman early one morning during my walk
A beautiful flock of Canada Geese
Glorious morning skies
This great blue heron is a daily visitor here
Named him King Charles
He is soooo beautiful
He is also looking for breakfast
Check this out carefully
King Charles diving into the lake
Look closely, Charles is out of the water, starting his flight
If you click on the pic, to the left of his head, check out the fish's tail
AWESOME...
A chili pot luck dinner last night here at the park
Saying farewell to summer workampers
Introducing winter workampers
Yummmmmmy chili and even yummmmmmier desserts
And a great time was had by all
And again, Tim in the red shirt and crazy hat
One last group
Had lunch today and a wonderful visit with my friend Melody
I know, we are a little blurry
This is the wind blown look
Melody bought our first home on Ingleside
That's my wonderful week, in a nut shell
Life is good
God is LOVE

Wednesday, Hump Day
Today is a good day for us. I was reminded yesterday, to drop a line or two often just to let my faithful followers know how we are doing. I really like to post pics with my writing. If I haven't taken any for that day, I kind of pass on a blog. Usually that means nothing worth sharing has transpired. Today is one of those days. So I thought I would share my new living room accessories.
New rug ties window treatment together. Room is a little bright, colors not showing so vivid
I brought the bird pillows from the bedroom and using them in here for a change

Will be replacing this table with a fireplace when we get to Alabama
The fireplace will be approximately the same size as the table
I'll be using the "bar" skin rug in front of it
Every fireplace needs one
I saw a coach that turned the steering wheel into a table
Pat found one at a garage sale...I think
I love it. Makes it kind of homey
This is where I usually sit
Doesn't Tim's ponytail plant show up great there
Love it
Thanks Leigh, its still alive
Had to share Cleo with y'all
I mean, does she have to sit on my brand new rug
That's it for now. Maybe more later. Check back please.
Have a great day!!!!!
I'M BACK
Tim's lunch
Shrimp, potato salad, and grapes
Yum Yum
After I photographed Tim's plate, and handed it to him
Saw I was missing cocktail sauce
Dabbed some in the middle of the shrimp hearts
Tim's comment was...Two bleeding hearting
And I added just like us!
Maybe I'll be back again...
Back to say bye...signing off for good this time
Life is good

Tuesday, Another Wonderful Day
This has been a most wonderful day. Shared it with two o' timey friends, Kathy and Marianne. They came over to check out my new...to me, coach. Then off to lunch at Grilles, not sure if it is in Mooresville or Sherrills Ford. It has a nice open patio facing Lake Norman and the Hwy 150 bridge. Good atmosphere, and yummy food. We chatted til it was time for Marianne to pick up her grandchild from school. Just a wonderful afternoon. Hated for it to end.
After they left, Tim and I sat out watching the lake and also other campers at the park. Always happenings here for us to observe and usually be entertained. Next, we headed for Denver to run a few errands. One was a Walmart stop, then gas at the new QT Station. Gas was $3.15. Good price. Well, you might know, I changed my long jeans I had on earlier for capris and where were my license and bank card. You got it...in my back pocket of the wrong jeans. Tim did not have his wallet with him cause he is not driving yet. So only one errand was completed. Back home we went. I had to settle for Food Lion, CVS, and no gas. THAT WAS THE SECOND TIME IN TWO WEEKS I DID THAT.
Dinner was next on the agenda. As I was finishing dishes, Pat came over. When she was leaving, Tom popped in to show us his, boy toy...a gas operated vehicle. He has a truck body for it, but didn't have it with him. This mammoth thing is like a remote control car, but upscaled. Like almost a grand he has in it. And it runs off gas not battery. Oh man, what a machine. He was cleaning it up to start working on it again. You run it, then rebuild it again, to make it faster. Just amazing. There are two guys, a father and son, down below us who also have them bad boys. They are loud, very loud and very fast. Love to hear 'em. So Tim gets out his jeep. Oh my gosh, felt sorry for Tim cause his looked like a toy, which it is. He calls our jeep a sissy and that what his little remote jeep looked like next to Tom's big bad boy. Hopefully when Tom gets it running, I'll get a photo if it.
To finish this wonderful day, we had a most awesome sunset. One of those firey orange red cloudy masses all across the sky sunset. Most amazing. And yes, popped about ten pics. It's going to be hard to choose just a couple for the blog. But I'll manage.
Marianne and Kathy
Dear sweet friends
Our view from Grilles
Very awesome
Our lunch, Quesadillas for Marianne and myself
Kathy was having a wrap..chicken I think
It was all delish
Back at the ranch
All good things must come to an end
Beautiful Sunset skies
Life is good

Sunday, Great Weekend
This has been a wonderful weekend. Awesome weather both days. Saturday, I went to the pet adoption with Jacki. That's always fun. When I returned home, I had a FedEx package waiting for me. It was a new rug for the living room. Sooooo excited to get it. And it works beautifully. Now I am liking my living room much better. I was going to photograph the living room with my blue rugs gone and the new one popping. Too late now, so I will do it first thing in the morning.
That was the most noted activities of the day. Now for today, Sunday, the highlight of the day, dinner at Jacki and Geoff's. Tim had requested Geoff's yummy burgers. So I made a bowl of potato salad and off we went. We had a great time.
Took a few photos of the weekend, hope you enjoy...
This is Bella, a Napoleon Mastif
This is a great Pyrenees mix
Pretty big lap dog, huh
He seamed like a baby doll
Katie, the dobie also was a sweetie pie
I don't know why they don't have homes
Liza lives with Jacki
She doesn't want to be away from Jacki
Tim's delish dinner
Geoff the chef of the evening
He may hire out, great cook
Jacki starts her furlow tomorrow, without pay
As of now
This is Liza again, she is a beauty
Liza is just being fostered by Jacki
The rest are all Jacki and Geoff's babies
Rocky
Maggie
Jacki and Jasper
And Angel
Murphy is in Jacki's arms
The little ones are always on Jacki's lap
Jasper, Murphy, Angel and Riley on the right.
Riley was the last foster/adopted baby they got
Tim's dad's truck, 1976 ford
Geoff is refurbishing it
Beautiful rainbow at Jacki's
Gorgeous skies greeted us back at the park
And again
Life is good

Friday, Wonderful Wonderful, Life is Good
Today has been almost perfect! I started my day a couple hours before Tim. Well, not actually. I woke early and spent those earlier hours on the couch. Dosed back off and was awakened by you know who. We started with our coffee. Then my walk was next. What a beautiful day it was for a walk. My music in my ears, magical. During my first walk around, I didn't think I was going to find anything to photograph. I chatted with a couple campers. On my second go round, through the bushes, I spotted something blue. I went to investigate and holy moly...morning glories. Blue and pinkish purple and white ones climbing around on something like railroad ties. Looked around and noticed bright yellow daisies of sorts. They were just lovely. Life is good. All the morning birds or ducks or geese I usually see must have slept in. They were all in hiding. I did notice some little bitty fish swimming around the pier posts. But not able to capture their beauty.
After returning home, decided to have breakfast outdoors. Took my oats and glass of water and phone and found a chair facing the lake. Life is so great. Midway through my meal, Jeannie called. What a delight. We chatted for good bit. When we get to Daytona, I will be about 45 minutes away from Jeannie. We both are so excited. We will be having Thanksgiving with her and her family. As I've said, life is good. During our conversation, I know about 100 Canada Geese came gliding down into the lake. They just kept on coming. Man o' man, what a sight that was. Another time to say,
life is good.
We ran an errand and had lunch out. Back home, Tim was trying to get the generator to start. That is how good he was feeling today. Another, life is good. Although he did not succeed, even with the help from Tom, who is going to school to be a mechanic, it was a no go. Tomorrow is another day with more ideas of what might be the problem.
Not much more to share...dinner, then sitting out enjoying the evening. We did have a gorgeous sunset? Life is so good, again. A visit from a couple campers ended our evening.
Enjoy today's findings...
My morning started with this awesome view
The bright sun radiating down on this beauty
Some bright pink morning glories
A little bit of gold growing on the hillside
And a close up of them
They bring a smile to my face
Such beauty
The green kayak, my kayak, is calling my name
I think she is missing me
That's my man, Mr Mechanic
Once a mechanic, always a mechanic
Sick or well
Tonight's sunset, the beginning and end
Tim called it a
Fire in the sky
The giant gray cloud of smoke
Is putting the fire out
I can actually hear the sky sizzling out
Now this is why I think...
Life is good
God is LOVE
