Tuesday, Another Wonderful Day

This has been a most wonderful day.  Shared it with two o' timey friends, Kathy and Marianne.  They came over to check out my new...to me, coach.  Then off to lunch at Grilles, not sure if it is in Mooresville or Sherrills Ford.  It has a nice open patio facing Lake Norman and  the Hwy 150 bridge.  Good atmosphere, and yummy food.  We chatted til it was time for Marianne to pick up her grandchild from school.  Just a wonderful afternoon.  Hated for it to end.

After they left, Tim and I sat out watching the lake and also other campers at the park.  Always happenings here for us to observe and usually be entertained.  Next, we headed for Denver to run a few errands.  One was a Walmart stop, then gas at the new QT Station.  Gas was $3.15.  Good price.  Well, you might know, I changed my long jeans I had on earlier for capris and where were my license and bank card. You got it...in my back pocket of the wrong jeans.  Tim did not have his wallet with him cause he is not driving yet.  So only one errand was completed.  Back home we went.  I had to settle for Food Lion, CVS,  and no gas.  THAT WAS THE SECOND TIME  IN TWO WEEKS I DID THAT.

Dinner was next on the agenda.  As I was finishing dishes, Pat came over.  When she was leaving, Tom popped in to show us his, boy toy...a gas operated vehicle.  He has a truck body for it, but didn't have it with him.  This mammoth thing is like a remote control car, but upscaled.  Like almost a grand he has in it.  And it runs off gas not battery.  Oh man, what a machine.  He was cleaning it up to start working on it again.  You run it, then rebuild it again, to make it faster.  Just amazing.  There are two guys, a father and son, down below us who also have them bad boys.  They are loud, very loud and very fast.  Love to hear 'em.  So Tim gets out his jeep.  Oh my gosh, felt sorry for Tim cause his looked like a toy, which it is.  He calls our jeep a sissy and that what his little remote jeep looked like next to Tom's big bad boy.  Hopefully when Tom gets it running, I'll get a photo if it.

To finish this wonderful day, we had a most awesome sunset.  One of those firey orange red cloudy masses all across the sky sunset.  Most amazing.  And yes, popped about ten pics.  It's going to be hard to choose just a couple for the blog.  But I'll manage.
