Good morning to everyone. Hoping your day is and will continue to be a happy one. We are on the road again heading to Foley Alabama. It will take us 2 days...about 4 plus hours of driving each day. Tim has chosen to take ST RT 100 instead of I 95 to Tallahassee. That's not to clear. The easiest and quickest way would have been I 95 to Jacksonville, then pick up I 10. By traveling on state rt 100, we saw more country, and we cut out Jacksonville totally. I think it was a great choice. The definition I would give this road is CALM. It's a wide two lane road in great condition and not much traffic for a beautiful sunny Sunday morning. I have seem more churches than homes in the last hour. Big ones and little ones. I gave Cleo 1/2 of her travel drug and she has opt for my lap instead of her bed. We just crossed over a gorgeous wide river, St John's River in...Palatka FL. It has an awesome bridge...fairly new. Cleo sitting on my lap keeps me from getting my camera up quick enough for pics of passing by treasures. Oh well.
I'm back, it's 5:30 and we are parked at The Walmart Campground in Marianna FL. It is outside of Tallahassee. We are about half way to Foley, maybe a little less. Tim wants to leave early in the morning so we can arrive early at our destination of Bella Terra RV Resort. Have about 4 hours left. I now will be working for the next 5 months. I really like retirement. What, oh what am I going to do? Just kidding a little. I know I will like what I'll be doing...will let you know later what that will be. Maybe I might sound a little spoiled. But 5 months will go fast. Tim will see to that. He loves the Gulf Shores. He will become a tourist. And for that, I can't wait.
Closing for now, Mifi is running low on battery. Catch up with y'all tomorrow.
Life is good
God is Love
Nite all
I'm now in Central Daylight Time. I get a free hour. Going for a walk.
Don't know how this paragraph got down here, but leaving it. Sorry for the mix up.
Thought I would share a few interesting sightings I spotted along the trip. How about Alligator Creek. Wonder how it got that name? It was in Starke, FL. We passed a Texas Longhorn Ranch somewhere. The horns on them babies were about the longest I've ever seen. Pretty awesome! Cotton must be grown a lot here because there were tons of cotton fields. Some with cotton still unharvested. Looked like fields of snow. Tim thought it was just sand in the fields. We then were close enough to recognize the plants as cotton. Loved it. Finally a first, at least a first of the season. Love my firsts. I passed a huge lot filled with Christmas trees for sale. Charlotte and her entire family, excluding us and Jacki and Geoff, went to get there Christmas trees today. They go to a tree farm and cut down their choice of the most beautiful there. That is except for Charlotte. She looks for the ugliest and saddest tree ever. Then she can turn that tree into a masterpiece. Charlotte does have talent. This year I'm having a Charlie Brown Christmas tree. It is going to be perfect. Can't wait to put it up. Small tree for a small space. Again, perfect. Jacki and Geoff are spending Christmas in Alabama with us. I am soooo excited. I'm already planning!!!
