It has been a wonderful day for us. From sunrise to sunset, sunny, bright, crisp, and windy. The wind kept the humidity away. Just a gorgeous day. My first task early this morning was to prepare dinner in the crock pot. I found a new chili recipe on line. Then a little cleaning, a load of laundry, breakfast, and a leisurely chat with Tim. We both had the day off. We get Wednesday and Thursday off together. Our hours of work the other days are different. Did I say we are retiring again after this job. Going to take the next year off. Working on our plans for that next year. They are still in the discussion mode. Will keep you up to date on our progress.
We did not want to waste this beautiful day just hanging out at home, so off we went to the beach...Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. Absolutely love the sugar white sandy beaches. The beach was quiet. Only a couple folks out enjoying it. Even the waves were calm, almost silent. They did give me a tiny splash as it rolled unto the shore. The water was the color of love. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Just close your eyes and imagine! Then place the clear blue sparkly sky coming down meeting with this deep blue teal water. Are you getting this picture? Sure hope so. Will share a couple pics from today, tomorrow. We drove around visiting familiar sites. This is our third winter here. Fun...fun...fun. And to think my dinner is cooking while I'm playing. Life is good!
Yesterday we traveled over to visit friends from our previous campground. That was like seeing family. So good seeing Joei and Don again. We chatted for a long time. She was making sausage in the oven and man did it smell good. I think I need her recipe. We also met and visited briefly with a few other couples there. Again fun...fun...fun. Sadly my camera did not get out of the jeep. Bad me. Totally forgot it and when I hopped back in the jeep to leave, I spied it. Just a little to late. Guess I'll save it for our next outing with them.
Tomorrow is our Monday. Boo hoo. But actually it's really ok. Learning my job better each day.
And love my coworkers and boss. Tomorrow night we are going back to Gulf Shores to watch the Christmas boat parade and have dinner at Tacky Jacks. That will be a first for each of those events. And I love firsts. I also am sad to say my Internet keeps kicking me off. So before I lose this, I will close for tonight and send it your way.
Life is good
God is love
Nite all
