Wednesday, Another Good Day

Howdy to each of you.  Today has been another ordinary day.  Its almost not noteworthy.  I can say we are doing good.  I have a congested head and clogged ears.  Nothing to worry about.  I now know how Tim is around folks that are all talking together.  Can't make out much that is being said.  I think it started with my time spent on the beach.  It can leave me anytime, tired of this crud...

No walking today, did take my mile bike ride.  Hopefully will get back into my walk exercise tomorrow.  Have a couple pics to share...

This is what Tim did to pass the morning time
Not quite as shiny as they really are
Guess that's me, spinning around the park

                                                             Tonight's beautiful sunset

Tuesday, A Good Day

This has been a very good day.  Was inspired to walk a mile, tidy the coach, visit with neighbor, and had left over spaghetti for lunch.  Spent the afternoon relaxing in the sun with Tim and Cleo, sitting on our patio.  Then I thought I could hear my bike calling my name.  So Tim, bless his heart, got it down from the coach, put on the seat, pumped up the tires...and away I went.  Back after a mile and a lap.  Five laps around the park equals a little more than a mile.  Downed a whole bottle of water when I returned, in a blink of an eye.  Don't know why the ride made me so thirsty.  Need to build up my stamina.  After a little rest, started dinner.  Completed that task with energy left over.  So off I went for another walk.  Slipped on my tennis shoes and stuck my music in my ear and... bye bye.  After a couple laps, I viewed one of my favorite sites, the sunset.  Hurried back to the coach to retrieve my camera.  Trees were in the way for great images, but still beautiful to my eyes.  That just about describes this awesome day.

Life is good
God is great

Still praying about the tragedy Sandy has rendered

The sky changed from one lap to another
                                                                            Gorgeous

I saw this big guy next door
Will try to pop a better pic again

A great piece of news came last night...our granddaughter Molli, FaceTime me and...she and Matt are having a baby.....yeah!!!!!!!!!!!

Monday, Just A Day

This has been one usual day...early up, breakfast, no walk, laundry, little computer work, lunch, grocery, tv watching the storm, Sandy.  Then came dinner and I can make the biggest mess cooking.  We had spaghetti.  It was yummy.  My cooking tools lack some, but got the job done.  After that, dishes.  I think whoever cooks, should never have to clean.  Especially if I cook...messssssssssssss.

I am walking and maybe take a bike ride tomorrow.  No more staying in the coach day.   No pics for today.  Will try to get some tomorrow.

Life is good
God is great
Nite all

Lets pray for the Sandy victims

Sunday, A Sunny Day

It is a sunny, a little cool and windy day.  I think I would like the beach weather over this.  Guess it could be worse.  I am thankful for the beautiful sunshine.  We are still busy getting settled.  Tim just said the windows need washed.  If he chooses that to be his chore for today, will try to take a pic.  Me, just chillin' today.  Wished the Panthers were on my tv, but no.  Will keep up with them on my I-Pad.  I popped a few pics of our home for the winter...enjoy!!

Friday, A Day Of Change

We are at it again, changing our plans.  We had to leave Silver Slipper Casino for the day, intending to return Saturday.  Walmart was our choice of overnite stay.  The one that appeared to be the safest, was 30 to 45 minutes away.  It was in the same direction, east, as we would be traveling in a week.  The campground we are planning to spend the winter, Emmaus RV Resort, is a couple hours from the casino campground.  After thinking thru the travel time, we decided to head on to Alabama.  Arrived here around three.  So here we will stay until March 2, 2013.  Unless there would be another plan change.  You just never know...

We were at this campground last March.  It is incredibly beautiful, for a campground.  Plenty of green grass, trees, concrete, huge sites, and lots of friendly folks.  When you see my pics, they may look familiar.  I will try to be creative.

The last awesome sunrise at Bay St. Louis Beach
                                                                   It's a good send off
The last view of Silver Slipper Casino Campground

Thursday, The Real Thursday

Ok, if you are here to see what is happening or has happened on Thursday, I will explain the title.  I lost the Internet just after starting yesterday's blog.  So I finished it this morning, thinking by editing it, it would show back on Wednesday.  Learned something new, it did not.  So, without me checking back on Wednesday, not sure what if anything I have.  I think Wednesday is on Thursday.  Sorry, this is confusing.

After checking back, Wednesday is really Wednesday, and Thursday is really Thursday.   I think if that happens again, it will be forgotten.  To confusing...to time consuming, sooooooo sorry!!!

Now for the real Thursday... Only have the sunrise because I have been blogging, blogging with trouble.  Glad I'm retired.  So enjoy my pic...it is from behind my coach

                                                                          Beautiful
I think a state park is behind us
Last night only had one neighbor
This morning, many and one across from us
                                                             How quickly things change

Come back this evening if you can, will share todays happenings...

Have a great day!!!!!

I'm back with just a little news.  After lunch we took a drive to find the closest Walmart.  Staying at a casino limits the days one can stay to seven.  Guess what, today is the seventh day for us.  So we will spend tomorrow night at Walmart, then back here for another week.

The casino was sponsoring a cruise in tonight.  Of course we had to go.  There were more bikes than cars.  But man, the bikes were awesome.  Some had lights underneath and around them.  I thought I was getting great pics.  Not my luck,  blurry and dark.  Sorry...I will post some.  That is it for today.

Look at the "face" of this bad boy
There were a few more cars to show up before we left

A white monster like the black one

Tim did spend a couple bucks inside

This was the close of the evening!!!

Wednesday, Good Day,

This has been a good day, so I will only share with you all the good that happened today.  The morning started with a good sunrise, good breakfast, and a good stroll down the beach.  Remember on my note yesterday or the day before, the Beach Fluffer did such an excellent job cleaning the beach.

I need to back up.  This is now Thursday.  Lost my Internet during the last sentence of that paragraph above.  Crazy huh...so I will try to complete yesterday, quickly.  It really was a slow good day.  So about the Beach Fluffer and his good job.  On my usual morning walk along the beach yesterday, you would not believe the debris that had been washed ashore.  It was especially sad that morning because of the long hard day of effort the Beach Fluffer exhibited.  Keeping on tract of yesterday's good day, I also followed suit and did my part by picking up what I could.  I found a big piece of black plastic, from who knows what, and a large yellow salt bag.  I'm sure that bag came from a fisherman's boat.  I picked up enough trash to almost fill that yellow bag.  It was all I could do to drag that mess to the closest trash can, which was at my campground, not real close.  That's right, no trash bins of any kind were located on or even near the beach.  Well, that was my good deed.

Now, let's skip to today.   Maybe I can't do that here. I think I will have to start a new page so it will be on Thursday.  I will post a pic of yesterday's sunrise, quite beautiful I think.

See y'all on Thursday.

Tried to delete one of these, didn't work
Enjoy both

The pics above are carvings from trees that were lost during Katrina
I know my camera doesn't give you clarity, but these are absolutely awesome
They have many tree carvings from here to Biloxi, 30 miles along the Gulf Shores
I know they are crooked, oh well cannot fix them

This is a huge ship at a Biloxi port
Filled with containers of goods going somewhere
A guard told me no pictures and to go away
So I did, after a couple images taken in my jeep
Passed a hotel for pelicans
Guess I was invading their privacy
Away they go
I was only watching
Awesome sailboat

Closing off for Wednesday...

Tuesday, Sparkling White

This has definitely been an unusually nondescript morning in connection with a normal colorful beginning of a day.  I called it white for lack of better definition.  When I look out, actually that is, and has been all morning what my surrounding appear to be.  Pure sparkling white.  As I look around, nothing is changing.  It is very bright out and the reflection of the sun and sky on the water...white.  I love to have different observations.  As you will see in my pics, this has been a diverse morning...

                                                           The sun trying to emerge
                                                                        And he's up
This may not be impressive but...look at this one below
This picturesque beauty was floating right over the coach behind me
I'll share one more postcard perfect picture with you
Doesn't take a lot to amaze me
Now exit the color, enter bright stark white
Three hours later , sky is still white and reflections on the water...white
                                                                        Glad I love white
My most unusual find of the morning
I know each of you has heard of the expression...feeling like a drowned rat
Well, this may be its origin
Sitting on the edge of the beach where the water just rolled up
I spied this peculiar moving object in front of me
                                                     Soaking wet, and still breathing
Now as how this little sweetie pie appeared on the beach
The beach is getting manicure, so to speak
I named this worker, the Beach Fluffer
He is dragging the sand, picking up debree
As this is happening, the sand becomes fluffy, powdery soft and snow white again
So inspiring for a girl not exposed to the beach much
Now, back to this little guy
I think he was hiding in some washed ashore sea weed
Then the Sand Fluffer disturbed him
Hopefully the hot sun will dry him out and he will scurry away
All this needs to happen before the sea birds start breakfast hunting

Well guys, it is almost lunchtime, so if more interesting happenings occur, I will return.  If there are none I will still come back to see good night...

I'm back, have a couple images of afternoon happenings thought you might enjoy.  We made a quick trip to Walmart for a few supplies.  Came home and hurried over to the beach to finish my latest book, The Majority Rules by Eugene Sullivan.  I had two chapters left and wanted to make sure it was going to end the way I anticipated it would.  Yes it did, almost.

While totally engulfed with my book, two crazy things happened.  I was sitting in my chair in the water.  Then all of a sudden, the tide started heading in and the waves were splashing the bottom of the chair with me in it.  The idea struck me that I should, get the heck out of Dodge and fast.  So looking up about the same time, I saw this guy in the water in front of me, then, looking way up I saw his kite thing, for lack of its proper name.  Kinda like para-gliding except using a surf board.  Real crazy.  He passed  in front and over me twice, with his cords closer to my head than I liked.  So to myself I said, it was time to make my exit.

That's it for tonight...couple more pics for you, enjoy!!!

Where I spent part of my afternoon

This is my visitor at the beach
                                                                You have to look close
Had to retreive my camera at the coach, by then he was long gone
                                                                 Hope you can see him

Oh Daddy, please don't use those scary things on me!!!!!
                                                                      And, it's not funny

This is the awesome view from our coach
                                                                           Just lovin it...
