Hi everyone,
I'm back with some Internet. Don't know how long it will last, so I'll be brief. The morning mass was delayed. We did not go to the field, and chose to stay home. Eventually they took off, and wow, was it a sight. At our sight, we could see them lifting off and gliding right over us. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am having trouble downloading my pictures. When I achieve this, will send them your way. Saturday night pictures are still waiting to be downloaded. Then this morning mass ascension was also delayed. And again we stayed here, but when they did take off, what a sight it is. Still hoping to see a morning take off on the field. I will have to say, this is the best place we have been ever. Families excluded.
I will share the little downside of our site. Have you ever heard of goat horn plant? Not me either. I am told by the locals here it is a plant. It produces what I call and maybe you also, sand spurs. Well, one has to be very agile to maneuver around without stepping on them. That's not exactly what I meant. I have to sit down outside the coach, remove my shoes, sweep the sand spurs away from the path I am about to walk on, look carefully to make sure there are none visible and carefully, very carefully step forward then up the steps with my eyes viewing the ground. I'm not very graceful doing this, but most of the time I am the winner. We have to carry Cleo out to the road before she can walk. But truthfully, it's a small price to pay for this marvelous experience.
There are no events for the rest of the day. There is only morning mass ascensions for Tuesday morning and Wednesday morning. Then the activities begin again on Thursday thru Saturday. Sunday will end this magnificent show with a final morning mass ascension. We will hit the road on Monday looking for a location that offers water, electric and sewer. It will be great to stand under the shower for more than 30 seconds.
Please return for some pics of this fantastic adventure.
Thanks for coming back. Only going to post a few pics. Don't want to overload, again. ENJOY!!!
